Just a quick post to advise that I now have a stock of red, white and blue silicon wrist bands labelled Ship of Fools 2005 - they are in two sizes - adult and medium. I do have a small list of requests for some of these, but have a fair number extra - so will be happy to take more orders - cost is $3 each and I'll deliver on board.

We are going on the DCL excursion for the cliff divers too! We are on the east coast and will have enough trouble with the time change without trying to get the kids to stay up until 11:00! I guess we will eat something on the ship before we leave since the lunch seemed to be sub-par.

Denine - which excursion are you going on? I can't remember the name of ours but it also has some shopping stops. My DD is 7 - how old is yours?

We are scheduled for the El Mercado & Cliff Divers @ 8:45 am. We like the safety of scheduling with DCL when in another country. Not all taxis are reputable and I think safety has no dollar amount. We don't really care about the food @ the Cliff Divers. We will eat before and after our excursion.

Our DD is 8 and she will be with us.

Denine, I sure can understand not leaving Kaleigh on the ship at night while you do an excursion. We'll miss you, but I plan to meet up with you many times somewhere, OK?!

Welcome Bill & Bill! We welcomed the Magic too at 5:00 a.m.! Where did you go? We were at the point to the opening of the harbor with winotracy, askageek, dletz, Howard, and a bunch of other fun Disney fans! We met up later in the a.m. with Mary Jo DIS moderator of the Disneyland board and a bunch of other DISers by Acapulco's. It was amazing!!!

Welcome to all the other newbies too, talk about excitement coming in August!!!

In the for what it's worth department: we took an independent airconditioned van rather than the DCL tour in Acapulco ("THE PRACTICE" canal crosssing). Our tour lasted 5 hours, $60 for the 3 of us (had the van to ourselves). We of course went to the divers which is a must see. Driver was very courteous and helpful. We were very satisfied with our experience compared to those who took DCL excursion.

One word of caution - had lunch at one of the more popular drinking/eating establishments in Acapulco - developed GI issues later that evening..perhaps coincidence??

I want to put in a good word for the bands that Allan found (to be fair I believe his DD found them!) Months ago when he first posted about them, I asked for the information because I was on the party committee for my twins 6th grade promotion party. They are THE BEST quality bands on the market right now. If you are familiar with the LIVESTRONG yellow bands, these are the same if not better quality. There are many bands out there that are glorified rubber bands but these are true silicon bands. We ended up ordering 240 bands that say Class of 2005, enough for 2 per student we liked them so much. Thanks again Allan for the recommendation

PS For kids you definitely want to order the medium size. Even my DS 12 who is almost as tall as me and weighs 136 lbs takes a medium in the bands.

Just to clarify, the wrist band actually has the three colours R/W/B in the one band (and yes, that's the Queen's English spelling!!!!).

I'm going to get a photo to Tracy with precise measurements of the two sizes (adult and medium) for the next newsletter.

Okay, as overwhelmed we are by all there appears to do on the cruise, we have been trying to figure which (if any) shore excurions would be fun? We want to swim with the dolphins (anyone else doing this?) and we want to dive and tour the Curacao factory while there (any thoughts on doing one or both that day would be appreciated; we wonder if we will have time). Also we want to sign-up for the wine taste (any help to get on that list would be appreciated)! Last but not least, we booked all our Palo reservations but hightea was full (Bill and I did this on our first DCL cruise and have been telling his Mom how wonderful it was so of course she wants to go) If anyone might have an (extra) space where someone might not go or any help in getting us on a wait list or might want to trade reservations or how to help (we -but mostly Bill) PLEASE, PLEASE, let us know! Can you tell we are getting excited about this?

Last note - We will be attending the June 30th Postage stamp release at DL, we are going July 2 to the Hollywood Bowl for the Happiest Celebration Concert and the [OFFICIAL] DL birthday on July 17th is anyone else going and maybe want to meet up? Let us know. Have a magical day!

I think it is called the cliff divers and restaurant. My DD is 2-1/2. It will be different with the time change.

For safety reasons, we will stick with DCL. If the food isn't good, oh well. We will have DD-2 with us and I won't take any chances.

Barbara: I can't wait to meet up with you either. I am sure will will have lots of opportunities.
