Bringing someone else's kids

I didn't email them, since I knew I was most likely canceling our DCL cruise. But I was told that single adults traveling with children are flagged in the computer and the TA must tell them the bring the notarized letter. I used Costco for both DCL and RCCL reservations..but I spoke with two different agents. Both times they told me to bring those docs, I didn't ask. So it's not just DCL that's requiring this.

Now, what happens when you check in is another story. I don't know if I will need it or not, but I'll bring them just in case. Better safe than sorry.
