My DH and I will be bringing two 8 packs of Gatorade on the ship. Do we have to lug those around until our room is ready or will they take the 8 packs with them when they take our luggage? We are staying at the Hyatt in Orlando Airport the night before and taking the bus from the hotel.

Thanks!

DCL policy is that all drinks have to be carried on and kept with you until your room is available. Yes, the porters will take it but they are not supposed to as it is against DCL policy. They would take your Great Aunt May if you dropped her at the curb with a luggage tag and a tip. If they take it and the bottles break, you will be responsible for any and all damage to other guests' property. Luggage is not treated gently.

They need to be in your carry-on which you will need to keep with you until the staterooms are ready which is typically by 1:30 pm.

I would just put them in a reusable shopping bag with handles. I saw multiple people doing that on my Wish cruise this month. One guy loaded up his backpack water bottle pockets with wine bottles. They also make powder Gatorade that you can just add to water

They need to be lugged around, unfortunately. I would suggest a bag with wheels if you can make that work with your other luggage.
