Bringing our 6 month old?

We took my youngest when she was 7 months old - it was so much easier than I thought it would be. She rode in the stroller, napped in the ergo - it was a great time. Utilize the babycare centers. If you're bottlefeeding, understand that they won't let you rock the baby and feed the baby in the nursing room (I didn't know that and was turned away and it was so upsetting). Do you have a baby carrier you like?

I have never used a carrier. Everyone raves over Ergo but they are soooooo expensive....in my opinion anyway. However, I want something that will be comfortable for me and baby so I may just suck it up and buy one. I bought a walmart brand carrier 9 years ago with my first baby and it was so hard to get on and to get him in and out of that I gave up after the second time trying to use it.

A good carrier is worth it! Far more comfortable, easier to use, safer, and longer lasting. I had a cheap one with dd1 and by six months she was squished and I couldn't walk around the block without my back hurting. I bought a good carrier (used for half the price) & I could walk the entire zoo, which is literally on the side of a mountain, with her on my back at 3.5 years. When looking at a $5000 vacation, a $100-150 carrier is not a big expense, and very worth it. I personally prefer beco over ergo because the back is higher, which is great for toddlers or leaners. I love the beco butterfly's insert which lets you carry young babies, even on your back once they can sit up. I have heard boba is good, but never tried one. Check the baby wearer site for reviews, info, and fsot.
