We are traveling this summer (our 4th DCL cruise) on the Dream staying in a concierge room. As a birthday gift to my mom, we are bringing her and my aunt on the trip but they will be staying in a non-concierge room. I'm curious if I'm able to bring them in the concierge lounge at all during the trip. Are the concierge hosts very strict about who is able to enter the lounge? I'm just thinking they might like to see the kids at the character meet and greet and to occasionally sit with us in the lounge and have a cup of coffee and a snack when the lounge is mostly empty. Just wondering if the hosts will turn a blind eye as long as we are not abusing the privilege. Anyone have experience with this??

If you search this exact title you will find quite a hearty discussion. Enjoy your trip.

if you want your mom and aunt to enjoy the benefits of concierge, including the lounge and concierge only meet and greets, you will need to book them a concierge room. I do not think it is appropriate to ask the concierge team to make exceptions. There are many meet and greets outside of concierge and coffee and snacks are available at Cove Cafe.

I would hope they would say no, and no offense to you. It’s just that if they make the exception for one then they will have to do that for everyone. And before you know it, the exclusivity is gone for the passengers that paid for it.
From what I have read though, your family is more than welcome to share the time in your concierge stateroom with you.

no, it's not allowed but they can enjoy your room and I believe even eat a private dinner in your room if you have one of the larger rooms

I'm sure you have probably already figured out that they won't be allowed in the lounge if they are not traveling concierge.

But what about letting you Mom know what is offered in concierge (lounge, meet and greets, etc) and then maybe she and your aunt will decide to pay the difference to upgrade their room to a Cat V so that they don't miss out?

You should book the concierge room for your mom and aunt and you should stay in the non-concierge room. That's what I would do for my mom. :)

Our friends were concierge and we were not. We were invited to their room many times, but never to the public concierge areas. Our kids even got to have Palo dessert in their room, but never the popcorn and snacks in the lounge

As others have stated...they are allowed in your stateroom but not in the lounge or sundeck. The hosts have pictures and names of all the Concierge people. I have witnessed the hosts asking non-Concierge people to leave the lounge.

No. If you want them to have access to the concierge lounge, you will need to book them into a concierge level room.
