Bringing Lunch Off The Ship To Atlantis?

Just thought I would add that we took our bathing suites with us and changed in the room before swimming. There was a safe in the room , so we left our valuabled locked up. We also liked being able to showere befere returning to the Ship. They do have a small bottle of shampoo and conditoner as well as soap and a hair dryer in the room. We were glad we packed our lunch as it was kinda pricey to eat there. I am planning on doing a full report with pictures of Atlantis soon. The only problem we encountered was our room was as far away from the main pools and slides as you could get!!! LOTS OF WALKING!!!! But it really was nice and we enjoyed it. Take some bottled water with you. I wish I had.

That is great info as DS is in a wheelchair and has diapers. It will be so nice to have a place to change him as well as let him cool off if he is getting hot. Any suggestions as to room # we should request to be near the pools?? What time were you able to get into the room?? I will have to check as to when we have to be back to the ship...I have forgotten. Thanks again for the info it was so helpful as we really didnt like Nassau when we were there last time...it was ok for a few hours but then..nope. We were going to sign up for the Dolphin swim but it is a little pricey for this trip....maybe next time. Looking forward to seeing the pictures you talked about!

We were in the beach tower rooms wich were a long way from the main pools. These are the least expensive rooms Atlantis offers, so they probably put all day room user's here. You can access the rooms from inside the hotel, so you don't have to walk in the hot sun outside We got to Atlantis about 9:30 and we were told at the front desk to go to the house phone and dial the operator and ask for a day room. Make sure they take your name while on the phone otherwise you will have to start all over like we did. The room was ready right then, so we went to our room and dropped off our stuff. The paths all around Atlantis are paved, so you will have easy access with a wheelchair. They also have a lot of pools located all over the Resort, so you can stop and cool off before exploring any further. Their website is www.atlantis.com

Hi AinW,

Just went on cruise and did the comfort suites thing. I did not take a lunch from the ship and should have. The prices at Atlantis are crazy and the service was slow. I paid about $70 for a lunch with my family for basicaly burgers and fries . The burgers were better from The ship and FREE!!!
