If we eat at an a la carte restaurant, like Spoodles for example, and have some food leftover, would they wrap it up for us and allow us to bring it back to our room? We will be in a 1BR at BWV and will have a kitchen so it would be nice to bring back any leftovers we may have. What about dessert? Could you get it wrapped up at the end of your meal instead of eating it in the restaurant, and then have it later that night in the room?

Yes, you can have food wrapped up that you do not finish. This happens to us all the time at WDW.

We did this alot last April when we stayed at SSR in a villa. Travelling with 3 small kids there is often left overs especially on the dinning plan with all those deserts!

We will have the dining plan too so I was wondering about that! Many times when we go out to eat at home, I get a dessert wrapped up and have it at home later. I still gotta have my dessert!!

I've bought schoolbread from Norway, brought it back to our room and enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning. Same with the deserts that we couldn't eat....they make for wonderful breakfasts! Would I do that at home, no way...but hey, we are on vacation! Anything goes (almost!). :)

I always bring those disposable Glad containers with me into the parks for this very reason. The boxes food is put into can be flimsy and a pain to carry around with you. I like to stick the food into my container, put the container in my backpack and forget about it ...until I get back to my room and have a midnight snack!

Now *that* is smart thinking! I'm going to have to do that. I always have leftovers.

I am bringing my FoodSaver this trip! We drive from SC - 6 hr drive and always have leftovers. No matter how well I put stuff in containers, they always get water in them, so this time I am bringing it!

This is a very good tip. TFS;)

Not only can you get a "doggie bag" but you could heat the food in the microwave in the resort food court.

Oh, BTW, please keep those leftovers safely chilled. I have a very gross story about Morrocan food left on the nightstand all day. Did not smell good.

I have something to ask...

since it's okay to ask for food to be wrapped up, does this include the huge amounts of food leftover when we visit Ohana?

Since it's an all you can eat thing I didn't know. But my husband was aghast when we couldn't finish our food there and he saw those lovely dumplings and chicken wings go straight into the garbage :scared1:

As everyone else says, yes, and I've done it specifically at Spoodles (that flatbread was more than I could finish).
