bringing my daughter next year to disney ...she has a severe milk and peanut allergy....i know they say the best place to eat with allergies is Disney but im still really nervous....im staying clear of buffets and will do table service only but my question is i really want to do the 1900 Park fare with Alice and friends...she loves alice and the mad hatter....since its breakfast and i did read they would make a special plate in the back for her so we dont have to use the buffet due to cross contamination but for some reason she doesnt want to eat what they give her can i bring in some fruit loops or something i know she will eat...i will stay pay for her but does anyone know what the policy is bringing in own food into a table service restaurant.....

Officially, they don't want you bringing food in. They will not prepare anything you bring in. However, if you pay for the the child I doubt they will say anything if you bring in a small box of cereal. That being said-the last time we were at Park fare-they served dry cereal. So you maybe covered!

DD11 has allergies to dairy, egg, tree nut and peanuts. We have been to four times and had great luck at TS eateries and the QS restaurants that are set up for those with allergies at each park. That being said, we have never needed non-menu food replacements except for dessert. We usually carry safe cookies or baked treats and no one has ever questioned it, but the official policy may be no outside food. Also, Fruit Loops seem to be available at many TS restaurants that offer breakfast. Rice Krispies are more hit and miss.

Yes, you can absolutely bring in your own food. They won't prepare it for you in the back, so just be sure it's something that doesn't need heated or prepped other than what you can do at the table. For the Fruit Loops, many places carry Rice Dream or Soy Milk that you could use instead of cow milk, or you could bring that with you too.

You will have no problem eating at most WDW TS restaurants, even at buffets. You won't eat off the buffet- the chef will make you something special for you in the back kitchen. Email specialdiets@disneyworld.com and tell them where you have made reservations, what time/day, your reservation number, and what the allergy is. They may ask you to put it on a special form to send back to them, or they may accept that information from the email directly. At the restaurant, tell the server that you have an allergy and the chef will come out and talk to you about what they can do.

Take a look at my dining review in my siggie. We're not milk/peanut free, but we are gluten and meat free, so you can get some sort of an idea of what the experience will be like, at least. I bet the chef at the character breakfast will be able to make allergen-free mickey waffles and fruit :goodvibes
