Oh My thats alot of time on the ship thats for sure ...I dont know if I could handle 35 days ...But I am sure you will enjoy every minute of it ...

We were a little concerned that it would be too long - but the 10 and 11 night cruises are so busy with all the ports of call - at least we'll have the opportunity to try and spread some of the shore excursions, especially since we plan to party till late on DD 21st. Bigger concern is getting back to reality at the end of the cruises.

Booked today and added the 10-night Med Cruise sailing of 8th August 2007 in a Cat 5 Guaranteed (waitlisted for a Cat 3) to our existing cruise bookings for summer 2007 .....
We were planning on spending the 10 night's between the two cruises in Barcelona but decided to stay onboard and use the 10-night cruise to celebrate our DD's July College Graduation (UK University) on the 10-night instead of incorporating it with her 21st on the 11-night.
DCL was amazed and said it's a record - we will be aboard the Disney Magic for 35 consecutive days (28th July to 1st September 2007)!!!
We are soooo excited

35 days thats probaly not enough days.you should add on the 7 night eastern on sep 1 than the 7 night western on sep 8 for a total of 49 days.
seriously congrats you surely will have lots of fun. can i ask what you do for a living?

We had the 11-night Med and Transatlantic booked to celebrate onboard, added the 10-night Med yesterday. Looked at flying home or staying in Barcelona for the 10 nights between our original cruises, just makes sense to stay aboard. And it ended up as this long cruise .... Been planning this for the past 2 years. We pretty much knew we'd probably be away for around a month. I have 2 businesses and my DH is CIO of an international company.

BUDDY and I are still going, We are listed on page 1, but there is a 3 after his name. We can't figure out what that means.

We are also paid in full (if you don't count that rather large balance on my Disney Visa ). We looking to book our excursions and Palo this weekend. We have also been debating the cost savings of rebooking from an 11 to a 12. Buddy needs to bring a mobility scooter or a wheelchair, so we are afraid to lose the handicapped room (and our shipboard credits!!).

BUDDY hasn't been feeling well so we've been lurking rather than contributing.

I am looking for GOOFYGUY. He's also listed on page 1. He was on the last cruise Buddy & I took and he's got a great sense of humor.

I still have my Fish Extender from the last cruise. Is anybody else taking theirs?

35 nights onboard, I'm jealous . Seriously, since the cruise includes food, accomodations, entertainment, and transportation all over the Med, it is probably cheaper to do this than to stay on land for the same period of time.

Correct. It is cheaper - we looked at flying back to the USA for the 10 days and had actually booked a hotel in Barcelona for the 10 nights. But once you add food, transfers etc it is far more expensive to stay on land. And we don't have to disembark and re-embark either.

Wow, now THAT is a vacation!! We are staying in Barcelona for four days precruise and just the hotel is like adding one more person's cruise fare, ack! But we are looking forward to seeing all the sights.

OHH what a wonderful vacation you will have, we are on 2 of the cruises with you, both the Aug 8 med and then the Transatlantic. Im not sure what I am more looking forward to the relaxation or the TLC of concierge in our first ever cat3!....ahhh what a vacation we are all going to have.

Does anyone have an idea as to how many young adults are aboard around our DD's age - turning 21 on the last 11-night cruise. She loved the Teen-club when she was younger and felt very disappointed after she turned 18 and had nothing available to meet other's her age. We were on the Eastbound Panama and after mentioning the situation to the Cruise Director, he discussed the situation with her and the 'College Club" a venue and time for 18-25's to meet was born ..... wonder if it's still going. As this is her celebration cruise we'd really like to make sure she has a good time!

got up at 2:45am and started booking at 2:58am. got my first reservation, things were slow but working. then around 3:12am the system crashed, I was just about to confirm my second reservation. couldn't get back in till 3:52am but was able to book everything. finished up around 4:20am. right now there is still alot available.
