I am certain that we will meet in November, however on the repo you will have late dining and I will have early, unless you want to eat both times. LOL

I am trying to talk DH into late, but so far not all that successful. Maybe after he meets you guys he will be willing to change and we can join you (if there is room of course).

Well back to painting and cleaning. I might get this place done by the weekend. I never realized how big this house was and how much stuff was left here by my lovely family occupants when they moved out on on their own. I had made more trips to the childrens hospital thrift store that they know me and my sis when we come in.

Well have a great day and check back later.
I am sure your DH will be SOOOOOO charmed by ME and swept off his feet by Linda that he will be BEGGING to eat with us...LOL.
And maybe we will do 'early' late - the 8 pm seating....I would rather spend a little extra time on deck and relaxing before dinner, then I can stay awake for the 'adult' entertainment at night.

No, the rainforest room is heaven on earth. It's a spa area with heated stone seats, a fragrant fountain, and some sauna and showers with aromatherapy. It is THE MOST relaxing area on the ship. I usually bring a book there...and fall asleep! :thumbsup2

Oh my ... I think I'll be doing this!

A question about Luggage.....

I keep reading posts about luggage limitations of 66 pounds per person....is this JUST the inter-European Flights I hear you talking about or would it be the same if I flew JFK to Barcelona on a 'regular' airline?
TIA

BTW, those bandelini(sp) bags look great....I like the one that can unzip and go over the luggage handle!

Hi Linda,

Welcome!!! We are your neighbors just 20 -30 minutes down the freeway in Mission Viejo! Our son will be 10 at the time of sailing and our daughter will be 12. Welcome, so glad you will be cruising with us!! :sunny:

I just purchased "take the kids PARIS and Disneyland Resort Paris" by Helen Truszkowsi

3/4 is about Paris and 1/4 about DLP. Does have some good web sites. Not sure if I would pay $18.95 for it again though. I will post some items of interest

airports
CDG and ORY
www.adp.fr

budget airlines
www.easyjet.com
www.ryanair.com

The VEA is a bus from both airports to the Disneyland Paris location
RER is the high speed train in case you want to do some sight seeing from Disneyland to the Eiffel Tower for example. The metro is an underground train. Both modes of transportation can be found on this web site www.ratp.fr

More reading to do

Baggage, from the sites I have seen a lot of airlines have higher baggage limits if you are traveling to/from North America. However, most of them specify that they must be part of travel originating from North America. So if you fly to say Paris, stay a few days and then fly from Paris to Barcelona, that leg will have the lower baggage restrictions.

Always check with the airline before buying the airfare though, because just like US companies all airlines have their own rules as far as baggage goes.

DH and I are already excited about the cruise. I think the kids will be excited knowing there are kids their age on the cruise.

Welcome aboard Linda - :cool1:

I'll add you to the cruising list on Monday .... when I have a chance to relax and turn on the laptop (note to self - sync list with desktop computer).

HOPPY Easter Everybody!

GrayFal ~ Each Airline have their own restrictions when it comes to luggage limitations. An Example here Air Canada will allow you 50lbs per bag plus your carryon, but that comes with the hefty price tag of $3,000! There is a No Frills airline, called Zoom, their limits are 66 lbs total plus a 5lb limit on your carryon! But I can fly them for approximately $600!

Also, before flying within Europe, check what the airlines limits are, very small! That's whey the majority are travelling from Paris to Barcelona via Train!

Scratch42 ... Thanks for the tip on Zoom airlines. I didn't know they existed AND they fly right out of Edmonton. It looks like I'd have to fly out of Calgary to get to Paris but that's not a big deal, it's just a few hours away.

Thanks....unfortunately I will be flying New York to Barcelona on Friday so the positive is I shouldn't have the 66 pound limit...and yes, I will check with my airline....Thanks for the info!

This luggage stuff will be a killer -- I can just imagine the berths on the train - stuffed full of them.

I still remember the trip to the pier in LA - luggage down the middle of the bus -- but the priceless image was at the Grand Californian -- 10 to 12 bellhops next to a small truck - piled high with luggage -- and at least 40 or 50 more bags that had still had to be put in :rotfl2:

And Don't forget My Castle! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Good thing that there won't be an outlet near by or will there? :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hey, I offered to ship the castle to you. Arlene eventually got hers.

Donna

I know, and I should have but did not want the chance of it getting wrecked! And if it did, it would be my fault! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: And wouldn't you know it, it made it all that way without incident!

But of course when the Cat saw it! He knocked it right off the shelf! Geez, I wonder why the Cat hates Disney so much! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Our gang tolerates the Disney stuff around the house - it's the suitcases they hate (they have figured out we are leaving whenever they see them). :confused3

If you are taking the train, you would want to check your suitcases from Paris to Barcelona and just take a small overnight bag on board. Not only is it difficult to get that much luggage onboard, there is simply no place to put it. I checked, and the night train has several baggage cars. Works just like an airline.
