Donna, how is Lindsay feeling? Sandy had a stomach virus last week and this sounds like the same bug. She couldn't even keep water down. Her doctor said it is going around...but I didn't realize how far "around" it had gotten. All the way from NJ to CA!!

I hope she is feeling better. It took Sandy a good week to get back to herself again. Don't you just feel so bad when your little one is sick! Loads and loads of :wizard: being sent her way.

Hi Piglett33,

This would be DD's 3rd cruise on Disney, her 1st was also Disney (Mex Riviera) at 11 mths. She actually did very well on that one, but we drove from San Diego, so that was no big deal. Her 2nd will be Costa Maya this Sept. We figure we'll celebrate every bd w/a cruise or vacation of some sort we'll see as years progress, but that's the plan! We've been on all Disney cruises prior... as everybody else here... we looovvee them!!

DH and I were just wondering if the Med or flight to Europe might be a bit overwhelming for her at 2 or should we just do a back to back (still 14 days, but not transatlantic)? We've been following the Med cruise since we saw it on the threads and are dying to go. So we're not officially booked yet, so sorry to intrude on the thread, but knew someone would have some info.

Thanks for the space! :)

Sorry - I haven't updated the list yet :guilty:

But I'm a bit under the weather too --- my sister - Benita - yelled at me to finally go to the Dr. (heh - I was just there last week and was fine) - since I was wheezing a lot I went. Turns out I have bronchitis (first case this year at least) - put me on antibiotics and such -- instead of the usually advise of take to aspirin and call me in the morning - he told me if I had a lot of trouble tonight - take 4 prednosine and call him in the morning .... :)

Hopefully by tomorrow the drugs will kick in and I will be feeling better.

Thanks for all the well wishes. She finally seems to be doing better. I was worried about dehydration too, but she seemed to be doing okay. She couldn't keep much water down, but she was able to keep popsicles down, go figure. And we really pushed the liquids today.

Erica, hope you start feeling better soon.

I'm glad she is feeling better, Donna. We have had a viscious stomach virus going around here. it has even gotten to the older kids here. we have had teenagers in the hospital with it. It was quite Messy at times.

Hope Everybody starts to feel better!

I think it's that time of the year! Very nice but still that chill in the air!

Stay Healthy!

I've been away from the DIS and everyone got sick...Well, I hope everyone starts getting better soon. There's a stomach bug going around my son's school, too. Is it just me or are there more stomach bugs around this year? It seems I hear about it from everyone, everywhere...

Anyhow, PD for everyone for a speedy recovery!

It's like 80 Degrees Outside, and I can't concentrate on working today!

Hey everyone -

Work has been so busy that I haven't had time to keep up with posts during the day. I've missed a few pages! Hopefully, everyone had a nice Easter. I took a couple of much needed days off of work. Gosh, I already wish I could take more! Fortunately, everyone in our house is healthy. Sorry to hear about all of the sick kids out there. I don't have kids yet, but I saw my share of sickness at the daycare I used to work at. Pixie Dust to all that are feeling under the weather.

As usual, I've been daydreaming of Disney Cruising. I remembered something funny today. See if this rings a bell. I'm wondering if any of you from the last August repo remember or know of the women who had the most darling cane that she decorated every day. Her cane was covered in silk greens and she had various Mickey and Minnie "scenes" at the bottom of the cane. It was so cute! I met her at adult crafts & saw her around the hallways a lot. Just thinking of her creativity made me smile. I don't know what brought back that memory, but I was wondering if anyone else remembers this too?

I've been thinking about Expedition Everest a lot lately too! I just can't wait to ride it. Anyone been on it yet? I'm counting down to a September trip to Saratoga. I have to be patient...one month at a time!

Look what I learned tonight - from Arica on the 8/8/07 cruise thread.
I hope everyone is feeling better - and Pixie Dust to all :wizard: :wizard:
It is always so scary when our kids are sick.
Just had to show off what Arica taught me. :cloud9: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cool1: :wave2:

I love learning new things - now I need to know how everyone decorates their pages with fun things. Oh my, when my kids see this they will know that their Mom has really gone off of the deep end.

She was a friend of Ducky Williams. I loved to see how her cane was decorated everday.

Hi everyone!

Wow....lots to read and catch up on! Life has just been insanely busy this past week with Spring Break, Easter, etc. We also had a gloriously warm day today -- mid 80's!

Linda -- Welcome, welcome!!! Our oldest DS will have just turned 11 by the time we sail. I think the ship is going to be full of "new friends"!

Erica -- The lady with the decorated cane was on the August repo, too? She was on the May repo, as well! I saw her one day and thought her cane was amazing, so I asked if I could take a picture of her with it. She was very nice and happy to pose for it. I'd post it right here and now if I wasn't technologically-challenged. Have no clue how to post pics....I'm lucky I know how to email them! :confused3

Patricia1 -- We flew to/from Europe with our sons when they were 2 1/2 and while I would not say it was exactly "fun"....it wasn't horrible. I had read a suggestion to bring a backpack with little "surprises" wrapped up. I did this and it worked great! When one would get restless or cranky, I pulled out a little "gift" and that would keep him happy. We were lucky they slept a great deal of the way, too. I wouldn't not book just because of the flight length. Consider it a "great adventure"! :upsidedow Ha!

Sorry to hear about all the stomach bugs going around. We've had our share, too. Hope everyone's feeling much better!!

I remember that woman!

Loved her Canes! She decorated them so nicely! It was a pleasure to see her and to see what she created!

Good Morning -

It's funny to hear that some of you remember the "cane women" from last August! Goes to show how much people enjoyed her displays!

Lorainne, thanks for posting your DH's t-shirt! It's so exciting to see that he's already working hard on a design. With 15+ months to go, he could design an entire line of clothing for the fashionale repo cruiser! He he he!

Back to work, blah!

Erica J.

Lorraine,

The T-shirt your DH is working on looks great!!! It makes this all so much more exciting!!! I am surprising the kids at Christmas with this cruise, wouldn't it be great to have their shirts under the tree?? Thank you to you and your dh for all of your hard work to make this cruise extra special!!
