I'm excited to be on a repo BRINGING THE MAGIC HOME again. I hope to do the back to back cruises so I will be on board for 24 days if all goes well.
I've been banned from the board for to long now - glad to be back.
The family is taking a Magic Western Cruise this July 29th, but only my DH and I will be taking the repo. Last cruise it was my girlfriend DisneyPita (Carole) and I, but I'm hoping that my husband enjoys our July cruise so much that he comes with me on the back to backs. If not I have grandkids who want to come with me.
Glad to see a lot of the old gang back. :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cloud9:

Hey! Glad to hear you will be joining us once again! You sure you can't convince DisneyPita to come too!

This is gonna be one wild trip!

Joyce! I'm so glad you're cruising with us again. It was so great to meet you on the PC cruise. Hey, I'm still using that Princess brush you gave to Haley! I love it. Where did you get it? I haven't seen anything like it here in NJ, and it's wonderful on her hair.

Ok, so I'm thinking with a group this large we could take over half of Rockin' Bar D. WE could spend the next 16 months learning the "Thriller" dance for 80s night and put the cruise staff to shame! :rotfl2:

Ok, maybe that's a stretch...I've always loved that routine though! My DH, Allen, and I would be happy to host a Nachos 'n cheese reception/meet in Diversions though! He'd do anything for nachos. Actually, I'd be hosting & he'd just be sitting by the nacho bar eating. I'll have to brainstorm that one. Seems like nothing ever goes on in Diversions during the day. We should have a meet and greet in there for sure! Allen could bring his poker chips and some cards and play some Texas Hold'em with the husbands & the ladies could all visit at the same time! Te he he....so many fun ideas we could come up with.

Welcome recently added cruisers! :yay:

I should probably go...I have to at least PRETEND I'm working!

Have a Disney Day everyone!

We did a meet in RBD one day (after a lot of problems with DCL) - with posted if we didn't get a room we would have an all day meet by the Goofy pool :rotfl2:

When we were at the meet - we exchanged small gifts for each other - I bought about 200 strings of pirate beads -- due to weight issues - I'd rather send them out to cruisers before we leave - that at trying to explain to customs that I AM NOT bringing 200+ roach clips into France :lmao:

Planning this is going to be half the fun - glad to see the West Coast cruisers want to meet up. We have a brother - who lives in Seattle .... if we go to visit before the cruise I'll let everyone know ...

It really sounds like lots of fun. Maybe the westcoasters will want to have a Disneyland meet sometime in the next year?

Okay, so we were not going to go on this cruise end of story.

Booking day came and went and we were still not booked, looking good. First thing next morning Howard called up and booked us. I figured since the prices were still tier 1 we couldn't pass it up. So unless we can't get decent airfare we will be there.

At the moment Disneyland is so packed, and they are so short on CMs that it works great for us. Lots of overtime. At the moment they are on mandatory 6 days, so we're saving all that extra money for the cruise.

Hello FOOLS! I am new to these boards. But we are booked on this cruise! It took me a while to read this whole thread, but y'all sound so cool. I just hope my husband doesn't think I have lost my mind meeting a ton of new internet friends. Anyway-it will be me, my husband, and our Princess who is 3. I don't think he can get 3 weeks off so I may fly to Paris w/out him to do DLP and the train with you guys. ??? Who knows right now.
Anyway--this should be fun.

hey princessNoNo-
i'm new to these boards also and they are COMPLETELY addictive!!! :goodvibes my husband also thinks i've lost my mind thinking so much about this cruise 16 months ahead....we are renovating our house (which may be a lifelong project) and that's all he can focus on most of the time....me, i love daydreaming and posting questions about what I am sure to be one of our biggest adventures yet!!! Everyone here is great and SO helpful!
anyway.....even though I'm new, too - WELCOME!!!!!

Welcome aboard - Princess

If you do take the train - there should be at least one other fool kid the same age to play with :thumbsup2 and lots of fools to help out.

I promise to update the main list today - depends if I can tear myself away from the new computer I got (delivered today!!!!).

Donna - I usually don't wish mandatory OT on anyone - but keeping fingers crossed for Howard - so we will get to see you again on the cruise. :goodvibes

I've got to stay late on Friday - shut down our system - (planned power outage in the building) and then come in on Sunday - and bring the system back up again. Sheesh - work is interfering with planning.

I sent an email to Eurorail - confirming group rates - and what will they do with families of 3 . I'll let everyone know when they get back to me.

Has anyone looked at hotel rates for Barcelona. I figured we would probably arrive on Friday, but after looking at the prices I'm just not sure. I had a hard time finding hotels that sleep 3. I'm not sure how I feel about having 2 rooms, and I know that there is no way I will do 2 rooms if they are not guarenteed to be connecting. I don't feel comfortable having Lindsay in a room to herself that opens outside the room (even though the sleep walking has gotten a lot better, I can just see her getting up and walking outside), and I will get no sleep if I have to sleep with the wiggle monster.

Unless I was doing something wrong most of the rooms I cound were for 175-200 Euros per room, so if we have to get 2 rooms, I think I just don't see spending that much money for 1 night.

:scared1: What! OMGosh! I clearly have not been doing enough looking into things. Barcelona hotels only sleep two to a room? and cost that much!!! (of course I have no idea what the exchance rate is either) Man o man, I need to start finding ways to get some extra cash!! :sad2:

Mostly it could do with I just don't know what I'm doing. I finally found some Best Westerns in Barcelona. One of them I put 2 adults 1 child it came up with a price of 68 Euros and said 1 double and 1 single. I'm guessing that it is 2 rooms, but I really haven't a clue because the site is very hard to figure out.

Another Best Western Hotel, says that I exceeded the max and need 2 rooms. So I put 1 child and 1 adult in one room, and 1 adult in another, and it then brings up a list to select a room for room 1 and then a room for room 2 and adds the prices together. Combined it was 200 Euros.

Nice to have you onboard again Donna. We are with you on the airfare deal. We are booked on the Repo cruise, but if airfare is too high we will not be going. Too early to tell.

I was checking out the eurorail from France to Barcelona and boy it is confusing. DisneyElf make sure to post what you find out about group rates and families of three. I talked to one of my patients today and he recommended the train overnight in a sleeper car. The train ride is like 12-14 hours and if we are only in DLP for a couple of days I think I will still be recouping from our 14 hour plane ride getting to France so some extra sleep would be good.

Hi everyone,

Very excited to be joining everyone on the repo cruise from the Med to bring the Magic home. We were also on the Panama Repo cruise bringing the Magic back to Florida.

There will be myself (Martina), Husband ( Rob ), son ( Jeff age 13 at time of cruising ) and daughter ( Alli age 12 at time of cruisng ).

We live in Nanaimo, a city of 80,000 on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada.

Looking forwards to getting to know everyone..

Martina :wave2:
