If not, have a great time celebrating your b - DAY!!!!

If you guys have time have a martini at Red Square for me. (Vegas).

Also, the Tratorita at Calif Adventure is very good if you are looking for places to dine.

Let us know too, how the construction is going in that area, they are building / expanding the time share stuff... oh never mind - JUST HAVE A GREAT TIME!popcorn:: :cheer2:

I think we all need a do-over. It just wasn't satisfying enough. *cheeky grin*

Suzanne, I'll definately give her a hug for you. She's not feeling well today, she ate a pumpkin the other day and it's giving her the trots. I think we've been outside about 12 times already this morning. And David took her out 4 times during the night (god bless ear plugs!!) Got some Imodium in her and she's finally resting besdie me instead of running for the door.

Now where is that Dee? She needs to be back by now and finish up this report and get started on the DL one!!

Poor Press! What a terrible way to celebrate Halloween - eating a pumpkin!!

I can hardly wait to see her Halloween costume.

Dee- we are still waiting for your return.

I'm having a terrible time deciding what she's going to be. Our group always does a big Halloween party and this year you'll never guess where it's going to be........on the MAGIC!!!!

We got invited to bring our group and it will be right before Halloween so the pups will have their costumes. We're spending the morning on the ship so the 'other' dogs know what going on a cruise ship is like and then we're having lunch with some of the staff. Can't wait!!!

Press has given me NO ideas on what she wants to be.

Day 13 Our 6th day at sea and our last day at sea.

There was not setting the clock back last night. I slept till 8 am, so my theory of being on time for work next week has been refuted. The weather looks a little overcast, but hot.

After breakfast DN and I went to the Walt Disney Theatre to see the behind the scenes session. Very interesting! Wish I had my camera. Another tip, carry a camera with you at all times while onboard, you never know what you will see. They had a rack of costumes out to see. The costumes were heavy and beautiful. I had no idea that they were made specifically for each actor/actress. We were able to go on the stage and back stage. We were able to see the props for several of the shows as well as a see how the lifts work. They even had Mickey’s bed on stage so we could get a hands on view. I hope they do this tour again on another cruise. We missed the first part with the actresses and actors where you could ask questions.

Then DN and I went to the last “Art of Entertaining” series. It was with Michael Jordan and he demonstrated a dish of Strawberries and cream as well as this awesome cake that was layered with ricotta and chocolate chips then covered in a chocolate frosting. He paired these dishes with a sparkling wine (Rosa Regale) that was delicious. Great news is that we already have this sparkling wine at home. He has been wonderful to watch and I hope DCL considers bringing him onboard for next years eastbound repo through the Panama Canal. He is “Not a chef, just a good cook who cooks good southern Italian dishes.”

We took some much needed down time to regroup and plan out the rest of this lazy day. On to lunch where we sat next to a couple who was on the first Med cruise. He told us he took 10,000 pictures. So my previous point to carry a camera with you at all times stands.

After lunch I took care of the tips and the bill. I was quite pleased at how well we did. With all the onboard credit and Disney credit card points our bill is a little over $400.00 That is roughly 100.00 a person or 50.00 per person per week. It is starting to look better each time I write it. Of course this does not include the re-bookings.

It was back to the cabin. I was able to pirate a washing machine and get some laundry done. It was semi formal night. People were dressed in all forms of attire, from tuxedos and gowns to sweat pants and a t-shirt.

After dinner DN and DH went to the movies, DGD went to the show “Dreams” and I packed.

We went to the Dessert Gala Buffet at 11:15 p.m. Please, I am begging, STOP with all this food. To bed we went as tomorrow we are at Castaway Cay. As exciting as that sounds it is a bitter sweet reminder that this wonderful cruise is coming to an end.

Day 14 Castaway Cay

We arrived very early and the view was spectacular.
Day14001.jpg

It was so early that we could see both the moon and the sun rise.
Day14005.jpg

We took our time and had breakfast watched from our balcony as the island got inhabited with guests and staff. It was as if we had come home.

Then we disembarked and this is what we saw.

Day14064.jpg

It was a beautiful and sunny day. It was also Very hot! We went to the family beach and DGD, DH and DN went into the water. I laid on a lounge chair and braised like a pig on a spit. I told you all I had eaten to much these past two weeks! Did I mention that it was HOT! I braised for about an hour and then the my three darlings wandered out of the water announcing they were refreshed and ready to eat. OMG more food, does it end? Yes it does, tomorrow I begin my much needed fast. DGD went with a friend to Cookies BBQ and the three of us adults (I use that word loosely) went to Serenity Bay for lunch. It was very busy, but the food was good, as usual. The menu was slightly different on this cruise because they have been using European ingredients. So there were no lobster burgers, but there were shrimp and scallop kabobs and they were absolutely delicious. Okay, I confess, I did manage to eat some more. We showed DN the view from the beach, caught the tram back to the family beach and left her and DGD to continue basting in the sun.

DH and I headed back to the ship. Where it was definitely cooler in the cabin and on the verandah. DH and I stood on the verandah and enjoyed the view, while being a little cooler. I must tell you that I do not expect to see this view while on a cruise

Day14060.jpg

This is the launching of the life boats. It was either a drill, inspection or testing of the life boats, I assume. It was interesting to watch. It was much better than seeing that life preserver float by while we were out to sea.

It was time to get ready for dinner, but the water was brown as they were flushing the lines….great! Finally, it was somewhat safer to shower and get ready for dinner. AND THEN…. Sewer flood # 5 on the floor of the shower/tub room. Did I mention earlier that I am over this saga? Once again I call guest relations. I have cleared my throat and am ready to pounce (like a cat on a mouse, no offense to Mickey) to the first unsuspecting cast member that answers the phone. Ring, ring, and the preverbal “All line are busy” message. Great let fuel my roar. Next thing I hear this sweet British accent.. It was Amanda. I could not holler at her. I told her of the new episode of flooding and she told me she would get the engineer. Well he was to busy in a meeting and the Deck officer responded instead. He sent a plumber who, once again ran the sink and said it was all clear. Dah, I was not using the sink, but hey what do I know. The stateroom host was sent to, once again, sanitize the floor.

It is soon going to be over. We head off to dinner. Our servers were absolutely the best

I want to publicly thank the Wonder for leaving the Mickey bars. It was a perfect ending to a perfect cruise.:mickeybar

Tomorrow we head for home and bid farewell to our home away from home. It has been wonderful, but I am ready to go home. As I sit here and reflect on this wonderful vacation, I ask myself if I would ever do it again. The answer is simply, yes.

Thank you all for reading and I hope you have enjoyed cruising vicariously through this report.
