Does anyone know if we are allowed to bring a balloon we purchased yesterday at MK into Epcot today?

I don't see why not. If your child loves there balloon and wants to bring it with them, let them. Whats the worst thing that can happen?

LOL we have done this! It was a hopping day and we were meeting the gparents in Epcot. We were the only ones in the whole park with one, but it made it easy to find the stroller! No problem at all! This was two years ago just FYI.

FWIW, it's not allowed bringing a balloon into AK or AKL as a safety measure for the animals

(That or the Flight of Wonder birds would attack anyone carrying a balloon)

We brought a balloon purchased at MK into MK and EP on subsequent days with no issue. The balloon made it easier to find our stroller in the sea of other strollers.

We do it all the time. Like a previous poster said, you can't bring them to AK but the other parks are all fine.

Our DS is now 4.5 and has been obsessed with those Mickey head balloons since his first trip at 18 months. We get him one on every trip (it's one of the first things he insists on doing) and then we have to drag that damn thing around for the rest of the trip. Like I said, he loves them so we'll continue to get him one, I am sure, but we constantly curse the bloody thing when it's tied to the stroller we are pushing and it's hitting us in the head (as we hold it so it doesn't hit other guests in the head). Sorry for the tangent - we have a love/hate relationship with the balloons!!

I believe that balloons are BANNED from Epcot, but I could be wrong ( read my signature).

I know for a fact no balloons are for sale at Epcot, but I don't know for a fact you can't bring one in. There is some issue with balloons and Spaceship Earth. So maybe you can bring one in, but you definitely can't buy one.

I know for a fact balloons are banned from Animal Kingdom. If you bring a balloon to AK you will have to leave it at guest services.

Ballons are welcome at MK and HS at all times and you can bring in a ballon you've bought somewhere else to these parks.

  • "Balloons and straws are not permitted in Disney's Animal Kingdom Park for the safety of our animals"
Above is a quote taken from the banned items list on the Disney website. It only specifies AK. They may not sell them at Epcot, but you should be okay to bring it in.

I have brought balloon back and forth to the parks (except AK) My girls were in love with their frozen balloons and didn't want to go anywhere without them a few years ago. hmmm - maybe staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge is a good idea (no balloons allowed).

I brought a balloon back to the parks days after buying it. Those things are expensive! I wanted my money's worth. We took it home and when it started deflating we cut the bottom and let the air out and taped it to my daughter's bedroom wall. She loves it. Lol

We bought a Mickey head balloon on February 4. The inside balloon is still perfect, and the outside (clear) balloon is only slightly deflated. I'm amazed!

Which brings up the question I have never seen a good answer for-why DON"T they sell balloons in Epcot?:)

I always laugh when I think of the "balloon storage facility" at AKL. Where do they all go? Is there a room that's just full of floating balloons? :rotfl:

Has anyone had their balloons stolen from a stroller handle? I mean, MOST people might not want to ruin the Magic but...
