Bringing alcoholic drinks back to room on Wish?

This may be a silly question, but are you allowed to bring drinks you purchase from the lounges/bars back to your room on the Wish? I saw that you cannot consume alcohol in public, non-lounge/bar spaces. My husband and I have a tradition of ending our evenings on the balcony/veranda with a small pour of nice whiskey while our 6yo sleeps. Since we can't bring a bottle of our own onboard and room service only delivers cocktails, beer and wine, I am hoping that one of us can pop up to a lounge and bring back some to enjoy.

You are not permitted to consume alcohol that you have brought onboard in lounges or other public spaces. An exception is the main dining rooms, where you may bring your own wine or champagne but need to pay a corkage fee.

To my knowledge, there are no restrictions on carrying alcohol purchased onboard back to your room, or to another location onboard. I see no problem with someone buying drinks and bringing them back to the room for a nightcap.

You can definitely walk around with a cocktail in public areas; they sell them at all the various parties, that's how you generally get those fun souvenir cups. I wouldn't stress about it.

Also, can you not bring some small amount of your own liquor to be consumed in your stateroom? Thought that was a thing...

I have never been prevented from taking a drink with me from a bar.

I think you've misinterpreted something because if that were a rule, there would be no drinking on the pool deck! Any food or drink provided or purchased from Disney can be taken anywhere. There is only a restriction on alcohol you have carried onboard which is subject to a corking fee if you drink it anywhere other than your stateroom. However, in practice, that corking fee is only likely to be charged if you need a wine bottle opened somewhere. If you open it in your stateroom and pour and carry a glass somewhere, there's no way to know where it came from.

Years ago, yes. But for many years it's been limited to 2 bottles of wine or 6 beers per adult (21+) brought onboard at each port. No liquor.

ETA: the rules changed in 2015, so it's been almost a decade

No carry on liquor thus people get creative. Saw plenty of people carrying drinks around on my Fantasy cruise especially the beer mug people.
