My husband and I were discussing packing our PS2 (which plays DVDs) so our DD (4 yo) could watch some movies at night while she goes to sleep. We're staying at the Poly so I was just wondering if anyone has ever done anything like this before? She's in the habbit of watching a movie before bedtime (a Disney movie of course :) ) and I was just wondering if it was possible to hook one up to the tv there.

We went on a little trip to Orlando the weekend after my SO got his PS2. He was very exited about it and had not had time to play very much yet, so it had to come with us. We did not stay at the Poly so I can not comment on that. We were at the Studio City Sheraton (the tall round hotel by Universal). We had heard somewhere that you might need a special connector to play it in certain TVs (sorry I don't remember what the connector was called or used for exactly). We went to walmart and got one for a couple of dollars but it turned out we did not need one. We had no trouble at all plugging it into the hotel TV. We didn't actually do much playing though so I think bringing it was a waste.

Hey Angel M, since you're going before me you can let me know if it works :)

How do you get it to Orlando? I mean, how do you get it thru airport security? We've thought about taking DS playstation, but I was always afraid security would confiscate it, because we couldn't prove it was a real playstation. Well, unless they have a tv to plug it into. ;)

We were just going to pack it in a suitcase and check it in with our luggage. I didn't think it would be a problem.

...but in our case it's a GameCube!

And I think to myself - What the heck does my kid need his GC in WDW for?? Just would like to know if the RF switch can work at WDW resorts. I've plugged it into other hotel systems many times before, just not DW.

Plane security? This kid hand carries his stuff through the checkpoints and they inspect it = GameCube, GBA,N64 - not a problem. Only for me!

Enjoy!
