bringing a laptop?

Is the internet only avail. thru specific locations, or can you get the internet in your room with a lap top? Modem? Cable? Wireless access?

From what I have read there is no internet in the rooms. There is an internet cafe though. I was looking into it as well. If I am wrong please let me know. Thanks

If your laptop is wireless ready, they do have wireless, for a price of course. It is available in the atrium area on decks 3, 4 & 5, the Promanade Lounge, deck 9 and 10 and Studio Sea. There may be other locations, too, but those are the ones I remember hearing about.

There is also the internet cafe with computers for use, for again a price. That way if you don't want to carry the laptop with you, you still have access to the world wide web.

There is no internet access in the staterooms.

Thanks for such great location info.. Do you know how you find out about the cost for wireless (yes we have it) Is it cheaper than going to the internet cafe using their pc's?

I just called Disney, apparently they're testing the system for wireless and costs 0.75 per minute (OUCH!) You can get a $55 package for 100 minutes, or for $100, 250 minutes.
Using their own equipment, it's 39.00 for unlimited access, 24hrs a day at the promanade(sp?) lounge. other sites avail, but not 24/7
Cannot download or connect anything to their computer.

the pricing for the internet cafe is the same as the pricing for wireless ... the only bugger is that you can't print if you use your laptop and the wireless system ... for this reason I had to set up a second account for printing purposes
