Bringing a Blender

Someone else may have done this or posted this but I just thought about it the other day. I am bringing a blender to use in my room. I can get ice from the machines and start my day with a iced/ frozen cappacino. The instant mix is pretty good. From Sam's I bought some styrofoam cups with lids to keep my drink cool so I can bring it to the park with me. The instant sports drink mix with ice and water can be blended to a slush also. If you want you could buy fruit and milk from the food court for smoothies.
A blender could be very useful for beating the summer heat or saving a few bucks on a meal.

Great idea if you are driving! I would love to have a blender and make a few frozen treats after a long day in the parks (mine probably wouldn't be non-alcoholic though :rotfl: )

A friend told me that alcohol can be snuck(?), sneaked(?), smuggled(?) in mouthwash bottles. Some mouthwashes are clear like some alcohol and the smell can be similar. She used this trick on a cruise to bring rum aboard.

I too would love blended drinks while at Disney. I just wouldnt want to be you neighbor when your making your iced coffee!LOL:rotfl2:
Have a fun trip!

...we will be buying a cheap one at Walmart. My BIL needs a blender to make shakes. He has a medical condition(Dystonia)and has much difficulty chewing
food. I was going to ask the staff at the Dolphin if they had one we could use,but we decided it was cheap enough to buy and leave there.

Snuck, sneaked, or smuggled into where? the parks? alcohol is permitted in the resorts right?

Alcohol is available at all of the Parks with the exception of the Magic Kingdom. Yay - Grey Goose Slushy at Epcot.

All of the resorts as far as I know sell alcohol in the gift shops. It is a bit pricey; but available. And nowhere near as expensive as the room service menu bottles and drinks.

You can certainly BYOB into any resort I have ever been to. No need to "smuggle" anything unless it is into the MK.

But I must say the idea of a cheap blender sounds great!:thumbsup2

is there an issue with bringing rum on a cruise? is is not allowed?

If I recall correctly if you purchase it in a port you either drink it there or you have to turn it in when you board the ship. You can get it back when the cruise is over. It seems like they begin selling it duty-free on board when the ship hits international waters. Even then when you purchase it the ship keeps it until you disembark. Can other cruisers help with this? Am I correct?

Oh ok, I didn't realize the PP was talking about bringing rum in a mouthwash bottle for a cruise. I thought they meant sneaking it into a Disney resort! I was going to say, No need for minty rum, you can bring the original bottle! Im not sure about the rules for liquor on cruises, but I guess a mouthwash bottle makes sense to get around the rules of the boat!

I use a magic bullet for my protein drink EVERY morning and took mine with us to Disney (fit right into suitcase). It's great for fozen things (I put ice in my shake so it's think).
