Guess who forgot to subscribe to your trip report....
I've taken care of that problem!
Sorry airtran is being a pain. I hope you get it worked out with them...

I am so sorry that happened with your flight, Airtran has become my favorite airline for great non stop flights. I generally pay more for the convenience, but it is most often worth it. I hope things improve on your trip, and that when you do use your voucher your next flight will be stress free.:goodvibes

American is usually our airline of choice, but for peak travel times out of Dallas, they can get quite pricey. Hopefully, if we ever manage to use the vouchers, AirTran will redeem themselves for us! We did enjoy the XM radio on the planes, and the free wi-fi (well, free the week we were travelling, anyway)...

I was wondering about you! Glad you found me again! ;)

(psst... I think we were both logged in to the photopass site at the same time today, editing photos. :rotfl: )

I tend to get excited when a thread starts and forget to subscribe....
On the photopass...
It's kind of like passing the torch. You are supposed to finish up and then be done.
:lmao:

Well, I'm done with the photopass site now, I think... after 2+ hours yesterday. Although... we have pictures missing (when we met Donald), and DH really wanted those, since Donald is his favorite....

We were also given 2 round-trip tickets each to anywhere AirTran flies since we were bumped from the flight, and a food voucher to cover lunch at the airport.

Not a bad compensation.
I know it was no fun to have the hassle you did, but to know you are all set for your next trip sounds pretty good.

Looking forward to reading along. :)

Glad to have you here, MeMom! I try to lurk on the your TRs, but they move so fast... :rotfl: I'll stop by and say hello over there later, though. :)

I sure hope AirTran releases some seats on flights for the days we're looking to travel this summer... otherwise, we'll be driving the 1100 miles for one or both trips...

:teeth:

Any Wigd sponsored TR is a TR for me. Enjoyed your first update. How frustrating to find out that you had been bumped to an earlier flight and THEY DIDN'T TELL YOU! I would have been so MAD! What a long day of traveling, but at least you were well compensated! Looking forward to reading your TR. And BCVillas....Nice! :thumbsup2

:welcome: Glad to have you along for the ride. :)

I was planning to work on an update, but DH just dragged the laundry hamper from the bathroom to the door of the laundry room... I'm guessing that's supposed to be a hint. :rotfl: So, I guess it's laundry time, and I'll work on the next update if I get a chance a little later. ;)

Ugh! I can't believe that happened to you!

Really... you would think that they would've had you paged!

At least you didn't have to take the evening flight.

Things should be looking up from here... right?

Oh my gosh! So sorry to hear about all your airport troubles! I would've been a nervous wreck! :headache:

I was just irritated. REALLY irritated. And I felt terrible for the two families with young children that got bumped from our flight, who were on their way to their very first Disney trip. If the families had been smaller - just one parent & one child - I probably would have offered them the seats on the earlier flight, and taken the later one myself. They also bumped an older couple who were on their way to Disney to help out with their grandson's WISH trip. :confused3 AirTran did NOT earn any points in my book that day, that's for sure.

Our flight down to orlando with airtran was fine, late, but fine. Our flight back was another story. I paid for non-stop, well, lets just say that we did not have a non-stop flight. You will have to read my TR to find out the rest. (insert shameless plus here :lmao:). I would gladly have accecpted travel vouchers though. Just think, if you have problems next time, at least you didnt have to pay for the misery!

You sucked me in with the title and than I read your other report and I am hooked!!:thumbsup2

:welcome: Glad to have you here! I'm going to work on finishing up day 1 after dinner, so hopefully I'll have an update up tonight (or tomorrow at the latest).

The flight from Atlanta to Orlando is pleasantly short, which we were quite thankful for since the XM radio didn't work in our seats, and we were at the very back of the plane with all the engine noise. :headache: The flight was otherwise uneventful, and we landed in Orlando just before 4:00pm.

AirTran lands on the B side of the airport, which made navigating our way to the ME counters a bit easier. Within a few minutes, we were checked in with ME and in line, waiting for our bus to Beach Club Villas. We didn't wait too long for the bus, less than 10 minutes, and soon we were on our way. Our bus stopped at other resorts first - POR for sure, and somewhere else I think, and then ... we arrived at Beach Club Villas.

Now, this was our first stay at BCV. I headed in to check in while DH waited on our luggage. I was greeted at the door by a lovely CM, who escorted me to the check-in counter. The check-in process was... well... not the smoothest we've ever experienced. It seems that there was another guest at the Beach Club that week with DH's exact first and last name, and the CM was convinced we'd already checked in. :rotfl: It took me several minutes to convince him that we had, in fact, just arrived and were trying to check in to the Villas. :lmao: Once we got him convinced we were new guests, the rest of the check-in process went quickly, and since it was now after 5:00, our room was, of course, ready. We headed up to the room to drop off our bags, intending to head right back out - the only thing we'd eaten since breakfast in the Atlanta airport was a bag of pretzels on the plane.

Here are some pictures of our room (actually taken on departure day - I forgot to take any early in the week, LOL):

(if you look closely in this one, you'll notice the buildings of the Italy pavilion at Epcot!)

Once we dropped off our bags, we headed out to find the walking path to Epcot. As an FYI for anyone staying there, you need to head out the back to find this path, NOT towards the buses. ;)

Upon arrival at Epcot, we tried to eat dinner here:

But they didn't have any openings... we did get reservations for later in the week, though. ;)

Instead, we ended up here:

where we split a lamb swarma (sp?) platter and some side dishes. This is probably our favorite counter service restaurant in all of WDW.

After dinner, we walked around for a little while, but it had been a long day, so we headed back to BCV around 8:00. After showering & getting ready for bed, I realized it was almost 9:00... and vaguely remembered being able to see parts of Epcot from our balcony. I headed out on to the balcony just in time to catch Illuminations. Once Illuminations ended, I headed back inside. I set the alarm on my phone, and we headed to bed. We had a rope drop to make in the morning!

Coming up next: Where did we go? How long did it take us to find our way over there? And what DISer did I have a text from when I woke up the next morning?!? ;)
