Bring your own Champagne

I'm having a brunch reception at the LSS. I'm planning on having mimosas and bloody mary's as specialty drinks and then beer, wine and soda open bar. I was wondering if anyone has brought their champagne instead of using Disney's and how did it work out for you?

It seems like you pay per bottle of champagne with Disney instead of it just being open bar. I thought it may be cheaper if I brought my own and paid the cork fee. I'm just looking for some input.

I believe all food and beverage For a wedding must be provided by Disney catering so I don't think you can do this.

I got his information from the ebook (Passporter's Disney wedding and honeymoons) that I bought online. I recommend it to anyone who is planning a disney wedding!
You can bring your own bottle but there is a taxable corkage fee of 50 cents per bottle or can for beer, soft drinks, and water and $20 per bottle for liquor and wine. Liquor also incurs a $2.50 per drink charge to cover mixers, ice, and garnishes. While the corkage fee applies to all beverages, Disney assess a 21% service charge only on beverages opened at the event. The charge is calculated based on Disney's retail price for each beverage, not the price you bought it for.

This probably was more of an answer than what you wanted but I hope this helped. Short answer...yes you can bring in your own alcohol but there is a cost.
