Bring Warm Clothes!

We're here now.

It's been chilly for the last few days even for this die hard New Englander.
I would suggest fleece jackets with long sleeve shirts and pants. For little kids bring gloves and hats. My hands were fine but my kids hands were cold.
It was nice in the sun but once you got into the shade it was cool.

We saw some people in shorts and tees too and they were doing the freezing dance. Splash Mountain had a 5 minute wait while other rides were 120 minutes.

It's 38 degrees here in Melbourne this morning! :scared1:

We like cold weather to hit before Christmas, so I'm not upset, but I am definately bringing warm clothes. I do not want to be wandering around the parks at night when its cold and windy.

Enjoy the cooler weather everyone!

They're saying 79 by Thursday/Friday. Now those are the kind of Christmas temps I'd like to experience in Florida!

But there's also a very good chance of rain on Thursday/Friday...Another cold front is on the way.

For all those saying 60 degree high sounds balmy...I understand where you are coming from. However, most of us don't spend the better part of the day outside waiting in lines or watching parades/shows. We had a few days like that on our trip last 2 weeks ago and I was FREEZING and we are from the Northeast and used to the colder temps. So even if it doesn't sound cold to you....I would still pack some warmer clothes and dress in layers!

PS- I gave an extra 20% off coupon to the woman behind me at the Emporium on our last day. She flew in from Illinois just ahead of a snowstorm and said that she didn't pack enough warm clothes because she didn't think she would need them in Florida. Needless to say she was in line buying sweatshirts for the entire family their first day and was very thankfulf or the 20% coupon!!!

We leave Friday, and I think I'm going to add more long sleeved shirts. I have packed: t-shirts, 2 shorts, 2 capris, pants, 2 sweatshirts, jacket and a lined "fall" coat for really cold times. I have to say I'm feeling disappointed in the weather. I really wanted it to be warmer, I hope things change.

The nice thing about layers is that you can always take things off. If you are lacking in clothes to begin with then you are stuck being cold. :)

Wish it was 60F here.

20F tonight and the high today when i was in my car this afternoon was 28F

I suppose it looks "Christmassy" with all of the snow:sad1:

Going below 50 is about when I would consider wearing something warmer than a t-shirt. That's spring weather here!

I was looking forward to warmer temps too, but at least it will be fairly nice. Looks like I'll be packing a lot more "fall" clothing than I anticipated.

We just got back and even I thought it was cold.
In WI we wear shorts in the upper 50s and I was determined to do so. However it was down-right COLD at WDW this weekend. Temps mostly in 40s. Brrrr!

I have to say I'm feeling disappointed in the weather. I really wanted it to be warmer, I hope things change.

why the disappointment???? The entire eastern seaboard is in a cold snap and there is significant snow 2 states away.....where do people think Florida is???:confused3
yeah..some years it is warmer but Orlando is not in the tropics, it's not even in the southern part of the state.... enjoy what we offer...great walking around weather, sunshine and lots of fun......:goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Disappointed b/c in my Disney fantasy it is 80 degrees and sunny and I am shorts standing under a palm tree! Those are the thoughts that help us get through the bad winters up here! :goodvibes

You won't find too many disappointed Floridians! We love the cooler weather around the holidays. Especially after our amazingly HOT November this year. It's nice to not have to run the A/C for a change and my power bill is thanking me!
