Bring us a Shrubbery!! May 25-June 1, 2007!!

Askin a little advice...no one I know personally has been to Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch (I know! "That's un-possible!" - Ralph Wiggum) We have an ADR there. Ever been? Any suggestions?

Can't help with LTT - never been there. I've heard good things about their food, especially at lunch when they are supposedly less crowded. It's at dinner that all the characters come out I think, and then I've read that it gets craaaaaaaaazy!

Maybe someone else reading the ol' shrub will have some advice.

Anyone? :confused3

Oh yeah, just had to add....

this time next week we'll be on a plane to Florida, bay-bee!!! :yay:

Sorry for the thread hijack! I can search the DIS elsewhere....just thought maybe you'd been there!

I don't mind you asking - there are lots of people popping in and out with all kinds of experience...surely someone reading this will have tried LTT.

It's an open forum as far as I'm concerned...you wanna talk about the high price of gas...or how certain foods give you gas? Bring it on!

You will never hear me say, to quote Chief Wiggum, "Shut your world hole!"

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Hi Michelle! :goodvibes

You know, everyone on this board rubs it in with tickers and countdowns and listings of previous trips...we're all just a bunch of meanies! :rotfl2:

We haven't made any changes although I will admit to having some doubts about our Blue Zoo reservation. There have been some poor reviews lately on the restaurant thread and I'm a little nervous about it now.

Other than that I think we're set. Can't wait for next week and that Chef's Table!! :yay:

A calm blur...that sounds nice. I wonder if I could just get some of that every day before I sign on to my computer at work? ;)

All joking aside for a moment - I can't even imagine how difficult your work environment must be at times. Puts all that corporate snarking I deal with every day in real perspective. :thumbsup2

I really like my job and there is actually a fine line between the patients and staff! :rotfl2: I have to ask myself who is more ill sometimes! ;)

Your trip is so close!

That's what I was saying...and my wife would do the same! :rotfl:

Ooh!!! Pick me!!! Pick me!!!

Liberty Tree Tavern is very, very good at lunch.

They have very, very good food at lunch.

I ordered the salmon.

It was very, very good for lunch.

The salmon is what I would choo-choo-choose for lunch. :rotfl2:

Thanks! I'm trying to decide between the salmon and the pot roast. I guess it'll be a game-time decision!

The doctor said my nose wouldn't bleed so much if I kept my finger out of there!

Do you guys think that 7AM is too early to start drinking on the plane?

Ok, I know I'm a little late...trying to catch-up today...but this reminded me of the time the BF and I flew to Cuba -- long story, but we managed to fly there non-stop from LAX *legally* and sat next to the cutest elderly man. It was about 7 am, and he wanted orange juice. My BF looked at him and said, 'You know, this is an international flight -- you could put some vodka in there for free.'

He looked absolutely delighted and proceeded to have *three* screwdrivers. Loved him instantly. :)

BriarRosie's comment also reminded me of that story.

The lovely man who was one of our First Class flight attendants offered me the magical elixir of coffee with Bailey's in it. I would not have thought about doing that on my own, but when he twisted my arm, how could I refuse?

I love it when people are so helpful with the alcohol.

Anyhoo...I can't imagine how excited you are to be leaving next week! I can't wait for you to *come back* however, and write about your new fun!

Jaime, thanks for stopping by and thanks for helping my fellow Simpsons fan with his LTT question with a Ralph Wiggum-ey response! :lmao:

"My cat's breath smells like cat food."

Actually, in Ralph's defense this is true. When our cat wakes us up on the weekend either Jay or I will say to the other, "My cat's breath smells like..."

Well, you get the picture. :rotfl2:

Enjoy the lunch at LTT, and if we happen to make a detour there on our trip I'll be sure to let you know how it is!

HPHammer!! Hi there! I was also wondering where you had disappeared to - I do hope everything on the West Coast is OK. I also hope Cowboy Grimace has been behaving himself. ;)

Very excited to be leaving soon - a little concerned about juggling the Argie-Bargie, The Shrubbery, and The Food Was Not Undelicious (my soon-to-be-birthed dining report) all at the same time.

Have a great weekend everyone - pedicures tomorrow afternoon!!! :yay:

I've only ever had one pedicure. I feel embarassed to have someone look that closely at my feet, especially since I began running. My toenails are icky. :) Enjoy, though! I do remember the massage-y parts being nice.

Where will you be a week from tonight?

I'm always a little embarrassed when I have my first pedicure of the spring /summer season because I still have gnarly winter feet. Also, the medications I take have created all kinds of ridges on my nails. But then I think to myself...self, if this person didn't want to make my feetsies look pretty, she shouldn't have picked this line of work. ;)

Actually they told me in the past that it's things like corns and warts and bunyons that really gross them out.

Your feet are probably just fine! :thumbsup2

We will be enjoying dinner and many drinks at Raglan Road this time next week.

Where will you be??

Are you SURE you don't want to post a little mini-review so that I can read it before the 27th? :) :rotfl:

I HOPE to be seeing Pirates. :yay: My aunt is flying in on Monday from Utah or California (she has houses both places, and I don't know which she's coming from!) and she leaves Friday night. We were debating hiring a sitter so that D. and I can take her to dinner, to the airport, and hit the movie. I pre-bought tickets for #2 and could do that again, if we caught the late show. Otherwise, I don't think I can see it before we head down. Hmmm... :)
