I can't believe it! We made an offer on a resale and it was accepted. This, by the way is after pretty much a year and a half of begging to my husband. He finally started to listen and I jumped on the chance to own before prices go up. And... before he changes his mind. Persistance does work. Now we'll be waiting on ROFR. What are my chances with OKW/150pts/$69 a pt.? How long has it been taking recently to go through ROFR? Please, please, please, send pixie dust! Thanks:hyper:

Your chances are excellent.

You don't say, but I assume you are paying closing costs. (Seller concessions seem to have more trouble getting through ROFR.) That said, the trend has been great for buyers lately, and your per point price is very likely to get through no problem.

Just in case, pixie dust galore!! Let us know when you hear.

Hi,

Congratulations! I think your chances are excellent. I also had to beg my dh for my dvc and finding out about resales on these boards helped tip him over the edge. He loved OKW our first visit and we picked up a small 70 point add on at BCV as well. :D

Well I know once we go for the first time, we'll be going every year. Right now, the plan is every other year. We'll see how long that lasts! Oh, and I can definitely see an add-on in the future. I just didn't want to push my luck with asking for more than 150 pts. How about timing on ROFR? The resale agent told me it's been about 21 days on average. Has anyone found this to be the case? Thanks for any info. Can you tell I'm a little anxious?

Ours took 10-11 days to pass ROFR. Back in February, that seemed to be about average.

ROFR has been taking about two weeks on an average, but others have reported hearing back even sooner. By the way -- Tuesdays and Fridays seem to be the "magic days" to hear back. An Sunan mentioned, your chances are excellethernt unless the seller is paying closing costs. That alone seems to be the kiss of death more so than the price per point. Good luck!!!

Why tuesdays and fridays? Does Disney have something going on those days? Two weeks sounds ok to wait. I don't know if I could wait 3 to 4. The anticipation could kill and I'm usually a patient person. We are paying closing so I guess our chances are good.

Pixie dust coming your way! :sunny:

We're currently waiting on ROFR, too... it's been two weeks thus far. DH called today, and nothing yet. We thought it would be back today, but oh well! Maybe tomorrow!

Sending Best Wishes Your Way!

My Dh needed a little extra convincing as well. He has Timesharophobia. We are also waiting out ROFR as well for a BWV contract it will be two weeks for us tomorrow. Anxious me emailed Maggie on monday but they had not heard anything yet.
