I can't take this insane pumpkin invasion anymore. Why people, why? I can see a doughnut or pumpkin bread -- and I'll even let you go gaga over the Starbucks pumpkin spice lattes. But pumpkin potato chips, butter, yogurt, English muffins, peeps, Oreos, hot tea, gum, M&M's, cream cheese, pop tarts, Cheerios, toaster strudel, creamer, skittles, ice cream, and I even heard toothpaste (that could be urban legend but I'm prone to think it's true because the grocery store is invaded with orange.) Enough Already! I don't want everything pumpkin. Ugh!!! And don't even get me started on the pumpkin beer.

Who's with me?

I have to agree. We were in 2 different grocery stores this weekend that had pumpkin everything. As someone who doesn't even like pumpkin, some of the offerings made me want to gag, lol

Literally me right now

Here's how mine run together:
Early spring: marshmallow season (peeps, chocolate covered marshmallows, Easter candy)
Late spring/early summer: S'more season
Late summer: Hatch green chile season
Autumn: Pumpkin spice season
Winter: Peppermint season

Yes I love all of these things. This is how my seasonal flavors transition.

Pumpkin spice latte maybe twice. Pumpkin bread/muffins baked once. Pumpkin pie & cool whip - love it - at Thanksgiving. That's it.

We even have crazy pumpkin-scent lovers in my office. The bathroom liquid soaps have been pumpkin scented for two weeks.

I love the pumpkin creme cheese and Dunkin Donuts pumpkin spice coffee or pumpkin creamer for regular coffee, but I do agree that there is a strange obsession with making everything pumpkin flavored.

I do love using canned pumpkin (not the pie filling) to make chocolate muffins (with Devil's food mix). You can't taste the pumpkin but it makes the muffins so moist.

It might be a day for some pumpkin soup mmmmm

:D
Thanks for the reminder. This cafe near me sells the amazing pumpkin soup around fall. My 2 younger boys and myself love it. Looks like we might need to make a special trip next week.
And bring on the pumpkin spice! I love fall!

I just over look what I may not enjoy. And go for the things I like. It is only once a year. I enjoy making the homemade pumpkin pie from the fresh pumpkins.

I wish they would kick it up a notch around here. Other then pumpkin spice muffins, donuts and coffees, I don't see too much pumpkin anything at the grocery stores.

I like the pumpkin english muffins. The rest I could live without. I agree, some products are really pushing the limits. Pumpkin potato chips sound gross.

I love Pumpkin Butter. Everything else? Meh.

And there's not a chance I'm eating Pumpkin Spice Pringles. (although it's a better chance than White Chocolate Peppermint Pringles. :crazy2: )

Hmm, have not seen the pumpkin English Muffins yet. Are they Thomas'? Last few years I will buy a loaf of the pepperidge farm pumpkin bread, which comes out seasonally, and that is yummy. Also, they make a cranberry which is good, too.

I didn't used to eat pumpkin spice stuff, but now that my taste buds were blasted off due to radiation treatments, I cannot really taste, and don't mind it so much, so I eat some pumpkin stuff now.
