My mother wants me to bring her pastries from Norway!

I'm thinking just get them that morning when the bakery opens and put them in a tupperware container. My flight is at 4pm and I need them to stay fress just overnight.

Anyone done this before? I'm hoping this will workout.

never done it before but your idea sounds great. I'm sure the tupperware will keep them fresh for a day.

Wanna pick some up for me too??? :) ;)

JudySue used to get Carrot Cake Cookies at the bakery in DTD on our last day, we would wrap them carefully and put them in a suitcase and she would enjoy them at home over a couple of days.

The school bread will stay good for a couple of days.

This past October, my husband was determined to bring home the magic. He bought 10 Mickey ice cream bars from the snack bar of WL and individually wrapped them in foil. He then had a brigade set up with the children to get baggies of ice from the maker. We carefully arranged them in the cooler we had brought for the trip down. They actually stayed frozen for the 12 hour trip home to Huntsville! It was awesome. We have one left in the freezer waiting for my birthday!

A little piece of heaven on a stick!!! :mickeybar

Sounds like a great idea!

I brought home the specially made hand dipped Rice Krispie Treats and Pretzle Rods from the candy store at DTD. I've also brought home left overs from the Main Mouse, and Cinderellas Slipper.

Thanks, you all made me feel better.

I thought she was nuts when she asked me for School Bread and Kringla! :teeth:

My family now runs from me - but I take a tupperware container. I love the fudge/brownies from the GF RPC. So last year I took some home and did the same this year. I packed them in my suitcase. I now have them in my freezer. They are so rich they never really entirely freeze. I will have a bite from my own RPC tonight! Keeps the magic going just a little longer.

Also I buy the popcorn in the bucket. Once popcorn is gone DH rinses it out and we place choc chip cookies in there. Keeps the cookies fresh and makes a great snack for the family waiting at the airport!

I have brought home cookies and a custom made caramel apple from DTD. It actually turned into a game because my husband didn't think I would make it home with everything in one piece ( a half dozen character cookies, a custom made fudge cookie and caramel apple). Everything made it home, I enjoyed my caramel apple, and everyone enjoyed their edible souvenirs. :earsgirl:

We brought home a couple of turkey legs for a friend. Asked her what she wanted for a souvenir and that's what she said. Went to the cart in America at Epcot, got two of them "to go" and they wrapped them double in foil. Put those into individual plastic bags and then carted them home.

Pastries from Norway? Chicken feed.

I bring home goodies from Norway and the food court. I usually just pack in the plastic bags and plastic trays they put the stuff in. I will remember however to bring some tupperware for my trip the end of this month. Ok now my DH is reading this he wants me to bring him back some of those almond covered pretzels from Norway.

When I was in DL over the summer we had some super yummy bread and cornbread the night before we left at a restaurant at the Grand Californian. I told the waiter I wanted to take a couple pieces home so could I please have a box? Well instead, he brought me a box full of wrapped bread and cornbread that I enjoyed at home for the next week!

When my son goes to WDW for conferences, he always brings me a bucket of caramel corn from Sleep Hollow. I love that stuff!
