This! The whole experience of Disney is important to me including pre shows. This is one of things I want back before I go back to Disney. ToT and HM especially.

Having watched that pre show multiple times I don’t disagree that it’s annoying, but for first timers I do think it adds to the experience and helps explain the back story. So for that reason I hope it returns.
Probably not until social distancing is gone.
I would have liked to see them use the 1 group per dot, like they do in RoTR, but the stretching room probably
My solution to this (and other similar situations) has always been to hold back and let the crowd go in front of me, exiting the pre-show room last and taking my time so we just mosey over to the next area, which has usually cleared out somewhat by then, instead of jockeying for position with the masses. While I love the stretching room for the theming, I do not miss being squished and DEFINITELY do not miss the frantic race to smoosh into the single file line to get into a doombuggy. We rode HM again Sunday and both commented how lovely and low-stress it was.

Checking in at under 5'0 I always got trampled in there with the kids lol. A couple of years ago we accidentally learned a trick, stand next to a tall guy with a big backpack on his back and then follow him in (the backpack made it where we didn't squish into him or invade his space). So much easier navigating to the doom buggies. While I love the stretching room for the theming, I do not miss being squished and DEFINITELY do not miss the frantic race to smoosh into the single file line to get into a doombuggy. Preshows are a great way to stay occupied before the ride starts. If an attraction has a 30 minute wait to actually get on the ride vehicle and you spend 5 minutes in a preshow, it only feels like you waited 25 minutes.
Except Rockin Roller Coaster. That one makes it feel like you’re waiting even longer.
The Dinosaur pre show has been running, you just don't stop in there to watch it. The line moves through it while it plays. You mean Dr. Marsh is no longer present !!???
