Hi Guys...
So, my fiancé and I were hoping to get our wedding party (4 guys and 4 girls) magic bands with Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween tickets attached to them for their wedding gift. I was chatting to my sister yesterday and she thinks that I am spending too much (my sister is not one of my bridesmaids, through personal choice). I have already purchased their dresses and had special shirts and flip flops made for them and my fiancé wants to buy the guy's outfits and has already purchase special tshirts for them too.

I still want to buy the magic bands etc. but we are from Canada and the dollar rate has dropped dramatically since we started planning so we have already lost money.

The bridesmaids/groomsmen are paying (as well as all of our guests) to come to Orlando with us so we feel obliged to spend a lot. What are your thoughts?
As you can tell this is worrying me...

It boils down to whatever you and your fiance are most comfortable with. I would say you're certainly not expected to pay for your groomsmen outfits, but if it's important to you and you're able to it's a very kind and generous gesture, as was you paying for the dresses.

With us, I spent about $120 on each of my bridesmaids, and my husband spent around $50 for his groomsmen, but again every wedding party is different and it's all what your comfortable with. My girls gifts included getting ready robes and their wedding day jewelry, which were not reciprocated on the guys side.

Is everyone staying on Disney property? You don't need to buy magic bands if they are (unless you want to buy some of the different ones beside the default ones that are sent to you a month or so out from your trip).

Basically, up to you! I wouldn't say you're obligated to match the cost of their trip to FL but whatever you feel comfortable spending is sure to be appreciated.

Very nice gesture...are you sure they will go to the Party? R there other people they will be traveling with that will need tickets ( not you purchase significant others, etc).

We'd make it a wedding party outing...one of my bridesmaid's is leaving the day after the wedding so can't make it. I will do something different for her. There are significant others that will come, so we will inform everyone of our decision once it is fully made.

We're not staying on Disney property, as the wedding isn't going to be in Disney now...we're just going to theme it and visit there around the wedding day. :)
