Brides from Australia? Suggestions, please.

Hi!

I need some advice. I am in Australia/Tasmania for the next couple of months and need to look for some bridal gowns... I need some suggestions of places you might recommend? I will be doing A LOT of traveling while I am down here, so I will take suggestions from all over.

Thank you all so much. I greatly appreciate your support. I have read several posts about bridal gowns being expensive down here, does that seem to be true? If I found one I LOVE and had to have I might go ahead and get it, but I am just starting my search so I want many options so I can see what kind of style I really want, etc.

Hello!

Yes, wedding dresses cost a lot more here for some reason! I'd reccommend trying on and finding your dress, but maybe finding out the designer, style and your size and ordering it from the States.

I'm currently doing this to save myself over $1000, and that's after international postage and the exchange rate

I've never been to Tasmania, so I can't give you any recommendations on shops, but if there's a particular designer you like see if they've got a store locator on their site.

I just went through the phone book down here.
Here are a Few from the Bride Tasmania Magazines Website.

and when I searched the yellow Pages website for Wedding dresses in Tasmania It came up with this.

I dont know where you are located but I tried on my dress at Rayanne Bridal in Hobart and couldnt reccomend them more they were lovely.
