My fiance and I are taking a ten-day honeymoon at the end of August this year. We'll be spending 7 days on the Disney Magic from August 22-29, and before that will be spending two full days and three nights in WDW. We definitely plan on purchasing the ubiquitous "Bride and Groom" Mickey and Minnie ears; I know that these are sold at Le Chapeau on Main Street in the MK...but where else in WDW are these sold? We'll be kicking off our honeyoon with dinner at the California Grill, and I'd love to accessorize correctly, even before we've had a change to step into the MK. :earboy2: Also, what is the current price for the ears? Would we be able to save by buying them ahead of time from an ebay seller or elsewhere on the web?

Let's see... I've seen them at MouseGears in Epcot, and surely they have them at the clothing shop on the main drag at DHS. I don't remember seeing them in Animal Kingdom though. I believe they are also available at World of Disney at Downtown Disney (but not at the Disney Stores).

Unless you get them for a steal on eBay, you're not going to find a better price online. Most of the Disney buying services that sell them, like the Laughing Place Store, tack a few bucks on the price to cover their services. You can get them ahead of time at regular price by calling WDW Merchandise Services (407-363-6200), but you'll have to pay shipping.

There are now two styles of bride and groom mouse ears. For the groom, there's a black top hat with attached mouse ears or a set of classic black mouse ears with a mini top hat, a tuxedo front, and tails in the back. Both styles cost $14.95 each.

Brides can choose from a headband with white sequined mouse ears and attached veil for $16.95 or a bejeweled white mouse ear hat with a mini rhinestone tiara and veil for $15.95.

I got mine at Thimbles 'n Threads on the BoardWalk.

We got ours from Word of Disney in DDD. (We got ours early 'cuz we could use our birthday gift cards on them, so it was like they were free!)

We also saw them at most of the hotel shops. I do know when we were there 2 weeks ago they did have them at the shop in the Contemporary, becuase I was showing my mom them.

I'm getting a little leery spending 50 bucks on something I'm not sure Ill wear lol....

Just got back from our planning session last night, so wanted to add my 2 cents here.

The bridal ears are everywhere and easy to find.

The grooms are a different story. As carrie/lurkyloo mentioned, there are 2 styles now - the top hat with ears and the classic style hat with a mini tux, and top hat with ears.

DF and I absolutely did not like the "classic style" hat - which was EVERYWHERE! The only place we found the actual top hat with ears was in world of disney in downtown disney. We looked all over the magic kingdom, epcot, boardwalk, hollywood studios - and none of them had the top hat.

On another note... DF and I think the ears are a bit impractical, and seeing what carrie did (make baseball hats) was a bit of an inspiration. there's a store in downtown disney now (cant remember name) that has like a build your own hat section. it sells ears, and a bunch of "classic style" caps the ears snap in to. Well DF and I bought one set of black ear, one set of white ears from there. Then we bought 2 baseball caps that had a small mickey sillouette on it. Now that we are home I am going to take the ears to Michaels and find the right size snap to put on the baseball cap - and have them embroidered with bride and groom.
Hopefully it will work out. ;)

Cute idea!

I like the baseball hat idea BUT the only thing I was worried about was the photopass pictures....the hats may cast a shadow on the your face and if you take the hat off, you have hat hair! I could be wrong, but its a just something to think about.

I was reading someones old TR and they were modeling them @ AKL's gift shop....anyone know if they still have them there?
