Bridal shops in Orlando

Hi!

I'm taking a trip with my fiancee and her family to WDW next January and my DFi will take some time to look for wedding dresses and shoes with her mom. :bride: :groom:

I've managed to make appointments to two bridal shops in Orlando: Casa di Bella in Celebration and Carolyn Allen's near Sea World. Does anyone here know these stores? I've read some reviews and they seem nice and by looking at the collections at their websites they have some very beautiful gowns! We're also planning on going to Camille La Vie at the Outlet Marketplace or Florida Mall.

Does anyone know any other nice bridal shops? I've found some others, but they are closer to Downtown Orlando and we weren't planning on going that far as we only have about 2 half days that we're planning for this.

Thanks!

Carolyn Allen's is quite well-known on these boards because they will send someone to your Disney resort room to steam your wedding gown, and they also deliver and pick up tuxedos. They get high marks for customer service in those two areas at least. :thumbsup2 I've only read one post about buying a dress there, mostly cause so many of us are out-of-towners, I suppose.

I purchased my dress from David's Bridal in Milenia, which doesn't help you since it appears you're looking at higher end bridal shops. But I'm having my alterations done at Carolyn Allen's and can honestly say you will not find a nicer group of people. I was only in there for maybe 30 minutes, but they instantly made me feel like I was part of their family. The store is fairly small but very well-stocked, and they are extremely knowledgeable.

Nice to know about all your experiences! :goodvibes

Are all these shops on the higher end? :scared: I was thinking they were more of a mid-range gowns. We certainly don't have a budget for a truly higher end gown. We're looking for gowns during our WDW trip because most wedding dresses in Brazil are crazy expensive! :scared1:

I'll look into Solutions Bridal but from the price estimates of the collections that they offer I believe most are over our budget.

Solutions does carry very expensive dresses, but they also have a "re-loved" collection (I believe that's what they call it) with used dresses at a lower price. If you're interested in going there, definitely make an appointment! They fill up fast :)

Edit: I think the Reloved collection is in Gainesville only, sorry :(

If you do end up needing to go to a larger store like David's Bridal, try the one near Mall of Millenia. I haven't been there yet - not going dress shopping for a few more months - but that one gets consistently better reviews than the one in Altamonte Springs. :)

We were thinking of going to the Mall of Millenia one evening after Universal Studios and I've noticed that David's Bridal stays open until 9pm (M-F) so we might go there! Thanks for the tip!

Sorry, I should have clarified - David's Bridal is known for lower priced dresses than most bridal shops, so I didn't mean that those other shops you listed were astronomically priced, just probably more expensive than you'd find at David's. :) I absolutely love my dress that I got from David's, and it cost $250. I don't know if you'd find anything similarly priced at other stores, if that makes sense. I didn't mean to alarm you - I think you picked some great shops to try.

And if you do happen to make it to David's at Millenia - see if Charee is working. She was fantastic and made my shopping experience a great one. I had no problems with getting my dress there, although I would advise going elsewhere for alterations.

No problem! Thanks again for the tips! We're certainly going to keep our appointments at Casa di Bella and Carolyn Allen's and will still go to Camille La Vie, but I've added David's Bridal to our itinerary! :goodvibes
