He entered the Vikings training camp. I actually thought he would wait until after the Saints game to join the team, but this is good news! :yay:

YUCK. I am so sick of this man. He needs to stick with a retirement and stop screwing with people. He's pulled this 'retirement' crap waaaayyyyyy too many times. I've lost respect for him COMPLETELY. He does it EVERY SINGLE YEAR! I don't care what he did or didn't do for the vikings last year, he's a sucky looser.

He's such a jerk and has the respect of so many people. Yuck.

He is starting to remind me of Michael Jordan! Get over yourself! You are OLD! I have lost all respect for him I used to have.

How to retire from the NFL with class = Kurt Warner.

How to NOT retire from the NFL with NO class = Brett Favre.

:thumbsup2 I agree - I am so tired of the Drama Queen Favre , he loves all the attention but he is turning into a huge joke.

Yes, he is impacting the lives of others (other football players and their families) in a crappy way. Decide early or stay away.

Just watching ESPN sports channel. Probably doesn't care much about how classy his retirement should be when being enticed out of it with a possible 7 million dollar raise. According, to ESPN, the powers to be still think he is the key to winning a championship so are dangling a 7 million dollar carrot in front of him to entice him to come back.

Classy Retirement vs 20 million? tough call

I found it sad that the Vi-queens had to send 3 players down to Mississippi to talk him into coming back. Sad.

Oh well, gives us two times to beat him this season!

The man had a fabulous legacy now he's the butt of the joke. A very rich joke but a joke no less.

It's very sad that a talented, 40 year old athlete can't be satisfied with the attention he recieves for his on-the-field achievements and NEEDS to draw this much attention to himself off-the-field. It's almost like he can't breathe if the world isn't talking about him in one way or another.

Nobody wants him to come back?

If they're offering him a $7million incentive, I'm thinking that somebody must want him back.

I agree that the drama is over the top ridiculous but thus far ... the guy can still throw the ball better than most of the twenty-somethings that are available to replace him. As long as he can do that and he wants to play, I'll still watch him.

And the entire sports world let out a long, collective, GROOOAAAANNN! :headache:

Maybe Brett & LeBron can work together next time and get a 2 or 3-hour "All About Me" spot on ESPN?

No one wants him to come back :headache:

I beg to differ. We live in entirely different areas of the United States and this area wants him back. But I think we all agree about the drama that he likes to bestow upon himself.

Okay, I'll revise my statement... no one (except for some Vikings fans) want him to come back. ;)

I wouldn't mind him playing every year if he would just make up his mind. You either want to play, or you want to retire.

It isn't that he doesn't want to play, he doesn't want to do TRAINING CAMP. I am not a fan but it is very clear that the real motivation behind this is getting out of training camp-which I don't blame him. He would never make it though a season if he had to do training camp too.
