OK Experts, I need a little information.

This is my first trip to WDW. We're staying at the Polynesian, LV Concierge, for 10 days in April. I just sent an email to the planning staff and got a phone call back within just 3 hours. OK, so far so good.

I had asked him to make 3 PS arrangements for Character Meals, yes, including Cindy's Table. I also asked him to book the Breathless for Illuminations. They took my CC number for Cindy's. They asked for room preferences, if we're celebrating special events (I was so tempted to say yes, but we aren't), etc. He was very helpful.

Here's the thing... Right before we hungup he said that it would be a good idea to try to get the Cindy's PS myself, as well. That way, getting a better chance of a seating. I said OK, no problem. SO the question is... should I also try to make the other PS arrangements my self as well? Should I try to book the Breathless too? I was hoping to put the work on them (remember, I'm paying about $1000 extra for the "Concierge Experience") and not have to worry about calling CRO everyday at 7am. Sorry, 6:58 am. Anyway what do you think? Do you know of any "services" outside of concierge that try to make PS for you?

Thanks!

Breakfast at Cindy's Castle is an animal unto itself. It is booked by 7:04 (I know this from experience), and is the hardest PS to get in Disney World. You shouldn't have to do any other work regarding your reservations.

I hope this helps, have a wonderful trip.

Susan

I would book the cruise too, it's just about as hard to get as Cinderella's breakfast. It took me 4 days in a row and about 150 phone calls to get it.:)

I'm now going on my third concierge trip, and all the concierges have told me the same thing. If you want Cinderella's, you better also try yourself. They have about as much luck as you do. A couple of years ago, there used to be some tables that were held back for concierge guests, and the ones that weren't used were released 48 hours before the breakfast. With all the furor over Cindy's ressies, they've now stopped the practice. Since all ressies are gone by 7:04, its entirely possible for the concierge to get shut out as well. If you're really counting on getting Cindy's ressies, call yourself as well. If you get a date you're happy with, contact the Poly concierge and tell them you have a date and they don't have to try anymore for you. I've always tried, once I got ressies before the concierge, they've got them before me, and once we both got ressies the same day. I took the GF concierge ressies, since they were a better time than the ones I got. I've never tried to book an Illuminations cruise, so I can't help you with that one, but good luck and have a GREAT vacation.

Hi there...

Concierge at AKL never suggested I try myself - probably as I booked my trip pretty late and it was already sold out.

They told me that CRT has tables reserved for concierge requests - not very many - just a couple or so a week.

They had no trouble confirming PS's for CRT for us - but we did not know until we arrived and I gave them a choice of 4 days and they squeezed me in on my 2nd choice.

They really really really try hard to please concierge guests... if you don't get ressies for CRT... hopefully concierge will come up with some Disney Magic!

Sorry, I have no experience with the breathless question..
