...tho with a 1 bedroom I'd now be tempted to grab more groceries and actually cook something decent and healthy!

... we've organically developed a villa dining plan! Whenever we bring the kids, my boys always ask "what night is steak night!"... if you like to grill, don't overlook the opportunity.

We have found one of the nicest parts of DVC is 'slowing down' without the FOMO ... I don't think we have gone to a park 2 days in a row since 2018! ... It all started when we splurged for a 1BR ... hehe

I've stayed in a 1 BR (solo) just one time, and it happened to be at VGF. What really impressed me was the fact that there was a VGF bathrobe in the closet. I assumed that it was what I've read about-that occasionally in a high end resort or high end rooms, you get a bath robe. I never wore it, but was certainly impressed!

Bathrobes have been in all the rooms at VGF that I've stayed in, most recently the resort studios/

Well since the OP is a point miser go OKW, low on points big on space. When you go stay in another 1 bedroom everywhere else you’ll remember all the extra room the OKW room had. We have a 3 bedroom booked there this fall, VGF does beat it out for space since it has an extra entertainment room. The point miser in me enjoys the 2375 square feet for 59 points a night compared to 143 points for VGF. We do love VGF we did stay in a lake view 2 bedroom back in 2019 and a resort studio a few years ago.

In regard to OKW 1BR, just be aware that in many but not all of them, the one and only bathroom can be accessed only by going through the bedroom. Not as much as problem when kids are small, but can be bothersome when kids get older or if someone else is sleeping in the living room.
