I'm new to the board but I'm pretty sure I never saw anything that said you had to back up your rumor. I mean guys come on, this is a NEWS and RUMORS board and therefore you're going to get both. Not sure why everyone is on the topic starter...I've heard a ton while in the World before and you never know what is true and whats not...

If everyone posted every pie-in-the-sky bus driver rumor, this board would be flooded.

IMO, rumors are worthless unless there's at least a mildly credible source (not bus drivers, ferry drivers, etc.)

why do ferry drivers get tossed in with bus drivers? I have never heard a ferry pilot give rumors. They don't even use the microphone and most of them don't even talk to guests unless you talk first when they are deckhanding.

I was going to list tram drivers and monorail drivers too, but I was lazy....it's a joke, nothing against ferry drivers

No offense taken, it's just that,while I hear many people report bus drivers giving crazy rumors, I have never heard of any watercraft pilots giving rumors(if they did, I'd be the most likely candidate and if I found out it was someone else, I'd be on their back about it)

Gotta tell you Zulemara...not ALL watercraft pilots are so innocent. I ride the ferry from OKW to DTD quite a bit and got some "news" from the pilot a couple times. One told me they were building an adults only entertainment complex behind FW and another told me they were for sure opening an AC club at AK Lodge.

Everything that I've heard from former PI CM's is that while the Adventurers Club is still intact, the Comedy Warehouse has largely been gutted. I'm sure that there is a lot of wishful thinking going on right now, especially with the first anniversary of the closing of PI coming up--but so far I'm in the, "I'll believe it when I see it" group.

I know I heard this somewhere - though whether the fact that they were going to use the props etc from Orlando was announced or rumour, I can't remember.

In April, 2008, Jim Hill predicted the closure of PI but said AC would survive, to return most likely as part of Night Kingdom. Since some version of NK is likely to be a new land within AK rather than a 5th theme park, there seems to be a decent chance that AC will return in some form. But nothing has been said about Comedy Warehouse until this new thread.

In fact, some of it (including the "spare" Colonel) has already been tagged for shipping, if not shipped already.

And CW has been gutted at least half-way up the walls. It's going to require some renovation (and a liquor license, and employees) to re-open.

Keep in mind, as well, while the AC made a profit, word is CW was a money-pit. And the people that still come to PI are looking for two things: (1) the AC and (2) a place to dance. Unless the OP can offer some background on his source, I have to dismiss this out of hand.

That's not a ferry, its a sasagula boat. Ferryboats are at MK and nowhere else on property. I shall amend my statement: No MK pilots spread rumors. A week after D23, most of them don't even know about the FL expansion.


and CW has been entirely gutted. Just look in the crack on the lower level down by 8-trax and it's clear. They were storing stuff for a while, but most of that is gone now too. The only thing left on the walls is the mooshead. There are just a bunch of chairs down at the exit now.

P.S. if anyone has the exit spiel to CW or has it memorized and could type it out, or finds a video with it on youtube, please let me know. I'd like to have some fun with it at work every now and then

That isn't how I'd interpret her statement. Now if she had said "No MK pilots have ever spread rumors" I'd think she meant it as you interpreted, but I take her statement to mean that no current MK pilots are spreading rumors. If she works with them, I'd imagine she has a good idea of whether they do or not. If she did mean that no MK pilot has ever spread rumors, then I'd agree that seems pretty unlikely - I suspect some of them have over the years.

While I won't tell you I heard a without a doubt answer, I ran this by a very reliable manager who said he has heard of AC reopening in the spring. No word on CW though. I am also in the believe it when I see it group. But when it comes to the AC so is this manager and this is the first time he has said anything positive about it. And before you kill me, he is not in transportation.

Just returned from the event hosted by wdwradio at the AC last night. It was confirmed by the suits in the joint that the AC will NOT be returning in any shape form or fashion.

All of the major artifacts will be going to Hong Kong- To settle any rumors of some artifacts already having shipped, it isn't true. Other than the booze and kungaloosh machine, everything is still there. I asked about the replacement Colonial and was told that "EVERYTHING" is still on site and will be shipped as a lot to HK.

It was really sad- all of the CMs were teary-eyed throughout the evening.
