Sad to see it go, but maybe at least be glad that some uber-cool guy dragged you in there for the first time one night after years of Adventure-free visits to Disney.

Did the suits offer up any reason as to WHY?

Well...for one thing, all the artifacts are being removed...

In all seriousness, I remember asking a trio of suits this question in line during the final week last year. They gave me some corporate BS answer that involved "Mickey's Not So Scary" (no, really!) and "shopping and dining experiences." When I asked one point blank, "So if my company has a convention, where should they go after hours, City Walk?", he stammered then all but said yes. You'd have better luck getting an answer out of Zeus.

As one of main people on these boards who wants to see CW brought back, i'd absolutely love to believe this as it was my favorite club. But with the re-branding of PI(it's time to kill the name if the clubs are not coming back, just call it all Downtown Disney) i'm not sure what to believe. I talked to a former CW cast member about it coming back & they informed me that the building was completely empty & would not be opening. No one was being told anything & that if they were re-opening CW that they would be holding auditions again. With most of the CW cast on property still(Lisa, Philip, Robby, Mary, Missy, Krista & Carol) then its definately possible to re-open the club, but a lot of work would have to be done to bring it back to how it used to be.

Oh btw, another tip. There will be a CW reunion this coming Sunday at either 6 or 7 at Raglan Road. I'd love to be there but unfortunately i'm stuck here, if anyone goes then please tell everyone I said hello. Spread the word everyone!

Here's to the return of the CW cast at a different location in a whole new CW building. That would truly be something to celebrate!

Oh btw, another tip. There will be a CW reunion this coming Sunday at either 6 or 7 at Raglan Road. I'd love to be there but unfortunately i'm stuck here, if anyone goes then please tell everyone I said hello.

My understanding is that it's not just CW cast but CM's from anywhere on Pleasure Island. Supposedly this is taking place at 7pm on Sunday at Raglan Road. I hope to be out there to get pics for the Save PI blog.

That would be correct, I was just focused on CW but she did say that CM's of all the clubs including the AdClub & any other PI CM's or fans of the clubs would be welcome there. Thanks for reminding that it was 7, exactly as I wasn't positive of the time. I know its a possibility that after Raglan, they might move to HOB afterwards. At least that's what I was told last Monday.

I was in Orlando for business with Disney this week. I was walking thru PI around 3:00 on Thursday and there were around 8-10 "suits" standing, pointing at the buildings and very clearly carrying large blue prints. Clearly there is something being discussed, proposed, going-on.......

Had lunch at a restaurant there and was chatting up the bartender. He has a lot of Disney employees come thru. He said he's heard it all..... Reopening the clubs....and not. Bowling alley....and not. etc...

My guess... no clear vision.... lots of ideas.... and disagreement at the senior levels.

They were clearly blueprints, but whether they were of the existing buildings or something being proposed.....I couldn't tell. I did do the meander, check the cell phone and try my hardest to overhear anything.... they were very very quiet. I certainly tried!

ps. was very sad to see the store with all the signed stuff gone. My wife and I LOVED going there every trip. There just isn't much FUN there. They need to put some unique shops and experiences down there. I don't need another harley shop, sunglass hut, etc.. I have them at home.

Interestingly, rumors have the Harley store moving from PI to the West Side and possibly Harley putting in an actual motorcycle sales dealership in the Virgin space.

I sure hope DTD hasn't come down to this!
