Breaking News this morning: A 2nd earthquake (6.1) hits Haiti

Breaking news on this morning's news cast is that another earthquake has hit Haiti. Last week's was 7.0, this one is 6.1.

This is devastating news. With the rubble and unstable structures from last week's quake, I just can't imagine what they are going through. Prayers being sent.

Oh gosh, that's absolutely horrible. I read yesterday that they were still finding survivors in the rubble. Now what chance does anyone have who was trapped before?

So terrible. My BIL and SIL and their teenage daughter live just outside Port au Prince -- and their daughter was to fly to the states today.

They were still finding people alive -- BIL's nurse thought she had lost both children, but found her daughter alive after 6 days. It's just so horrible.

I heard on the news that weeks or months of after shocks are common. Sometimes it can be up to a year.

My heart goes out to all those in Haiti. The ones who have homes that are still standing are scared to go in to get needed stuff for fear that another shock could topple the house.
