Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

Does anyone have the link for the DIS thread that shows peoples' pictures from the various resort photo sessions? I must have deleted my subscribtion to it.

TIA

Its this thread but you have to back up...if i remember correctly there are quite a few pictures around page 33 but there are examples scattered through out the thread.

Happy hunting!

This is a joke. I'm a photographer and there is no crazy way that I'm paying that much for non-professional photos. I mean, any ol' joe can take photos like these.

I was a bit hesitant about prepaying the $100 for the Photo Pass CD (which we rarely use cause we rarely see the photopass "photographers") and then paying $25 for the photo shoot.....but I was going to do it just so that I could be in some photos with my family. I was just going to hope and pray we got a decent photographer.

But now, no way. $100 for the CD that I dont need.....and then $75 sitting fee for a non-professional photographer. No thanks, I'll pay that much right here in town and get nicely lit, non blurry photos. Maybe no castle....but I can do that myself at Disney. And for much better quality than the so called photographers.

I agree. I looked at all the photos and while the families all look nice the photos are nothing spectacular. No disrepect to anyone just my opinion.

OK...I just read this entire thread. Well not "just" read. Put it this way, if I had been paid (even the meager hourly rate these phtographers are paid), I could have paid for the photo shoot even after the price increase...even without the prepurchased photopass CD. LOL!

Well...I have learned a lot since looking at the early postings of the thread to get an idea of what the photos look like. Most disappointing is the fact that we can't enhance the photos anymore. I'm hoping that we can make some changes like cropping and changing to B&W before they burn the CD. Oh well as my DH says, "It's vacation..." I'm not going to sweat it. I will, however, make it my mission to make certain that we hunt down enough park PP photographers to make the prepurchased CD without my photoshoot photos worthwhile.

Check your second email from photopass. It is below the dark line near the bottom of the page. I just ordered a few minutes ago. I sure hope they'll honor the $25 price in November.

Thanks for the information as to where to find the $25 sitting fee. I purchased the CD last night hoping it was in the e-mail, but didn't see it until you told me where to look. It's in the fine print at the bottom with the guarantee information.

We weren't going to do the resort photo shoot if it was more than $25. Now we'll be able to do it afterall. :cool1:

How confident do you feel with the answer they gave you about it NOT having to be a GF?

Well, I asked the cm on the phone if it would be okay, and he told me that it was, and he called the Poly to tell them. He actually called me back at home to tell me I was "all set".

For me it is worth it because we are going to the BBB and they take pics as the girls are being "made up" and then after.

Okay,
I just called and spoke to a rep with Photopass at the Poly. I was able to get the $25.00 fee as long as I brought the email.:cool1:
But unfortunately will not be able to add the enhancements. I inquired as to why they took that away and she stated it was causing delays due to the long lines of people waiting to add their enhancements. But I can still add them to my Park pics. I am okay with that I guess. I have editing software at home so i'll just make my own ;)

That makes no sense! Why cant they just say you can only add enhancements at home and still let people add them to their normal photo pass account?

Who knows.:confused3
I do know though that they burn the CD right there. One of the reasons for the enhancements taken away. Maybe they were referring to the poly guests who were staying there on property were adding the enhancements to their park pictures which is what was causing the long lines for them. That would make more sense.

Hmmm maybe its just a case of asking the right question, the right way to the right person?!

We had our's done last week at Poly and they just added the pics to our Photopass card. We can do edits based on what they said unless the photopass site blocks some pics to adding anything to them.

That is how it was done originally but now you can no longer add the enhancements as of 9/1. We are not scheduled until 10/2. There are some who will still be able to add the enhancements due to them booking before 9/1 but I was not so lucky. Oh well.

but can you upload your photos to the photopass site from the CD and add the enhancements???

So for the $25.00 are you getting a CD at the photo session still? Or are they giving you a card to add the session photos to your photopass account online? Did you get the person's name that confirmed the $25.00 fee? I would just be worried that I book this session with the assumption that it's only $25.00, then go to the photo session and be told "on no, that CM was wrong, it's $75!" :scared1:

I have a question that I don't see as being asked by anyone....

We are not staying on disney property :sad2: So there are comments on the board that state that you can book your photo session 30days from the day of your arrival to Disney...not necessarily 30 days from your booking date (make sense??) Now, as I am not staying on property - do I need to wait until 30days until the booking date?

Annnnnddd...on that note, has anyone had trouble getting the date or time that you want?

Thanks Guys! :goodvibes

I tried making my ressie 30 days from check-in and like 33 days from the actual appointment and they wouldn't let me (and I am staying on property). I had to call back exactly 30 days from the day I wanted. I had no problem getting the day/time I wanted for 1 ressie the other I had to tweak by about 1/2 an hour...so not too bad! A lot better than trying to make ADRs!! :lmao:
