Breaking NEWS PHOTO SESSIONS!!!!!! :-)

you'll have a photopass card, so make sure you get lots of pics in the parks too, that way both of you will be in all the photos. Congrats!!!!

Thanks PADISFAM :goodvibes We pre-ordered our CD yesterday so we're definitely going to try to get as many photos as possible in the parks :bride: :groom:

Okay major question. If I'm going in on a photopass share with several other families, can I still get the private shoot?

I booked our GF photo shoot for 5p.m. on 5-22!!
Our shirts also came in that I ordered from Disneyshopping too!
I ordered the white polo's with black embroidered mickey for DS & DH, and pink polo with black tinkerbell embroidered for me.
We're going to look so precious! LOL! :rotfl2:

SO excited that I stumbled upon this thread! Going to Disney for our honeymoon in June and this will be a perfect way to get a lot of pictures of us together! I haven't been to the GF or the Poly so I don't know which one I would like more!

So if you pre-order the Photopass CD how much is the GF photo session? I pre-ordered the Photopass CD today and also booked a photo session for our May trip.

TIA

Thanks. I have been reading it was free then I read that it was $25 then I thought I had read where it was $50. Regardless I'm excited to do this! I haven't had my youngest son's pictures 'professionally' taken since he was about 18 months and he'll be three soon. :sad2: And DH & I haven't had any pictures professionally taken since our oldest was around 2 yrs old and he'll be seven soon.

You are correct on all counts....it was free for the first few weeks...then it is $50 sitting fee if you don't prepurchase the CD and it's $25 if you prepurchase the CD but make sure you bring a copy of your receipt for the prepurchase with you to show them when you are paying for your sitting fee.

I have some great pictures from this - I feel it's well worth the cost. I will be scheduling another photo shoot for our May trip!

From what I've heard you have to show your receipt where you pre-paid for the CD to get the $25 price, so as long as you have that, you'll be okay. If you don't pre-order the CD you can pay $50, and I'm guessing anyone can do that.

ok, I have a few questions that I don't think were answered. I scanned through the pages, but since the flu is going through our home, I could have missed the answers.
1. Do you have to wait until 180 days out to reserve a photo session?
2. I am planning on getting the photo pass CD as soon as we get that other tax refund. When you reserve a photo session, do you pay anything then, or is it all paid the day of the session?
3. Also, since I maybe wear makeup once or twice a year, I was going to go to one of the spas to get my hair and make-up done. Since we are staying at the Poly, I'm assuming the easiest one to get to would be at the GF. Has anyone had this done? If so, can you give me any advice on it. How far out can something like that be scheduled and do you pay in advance or once you get there?
Thank you in advance for any advice I can get on this. This will be the first family portait we have had done in the last 5 years, and I want it to be special.

Yes you can. I organized a photopass share over on the Budget Board last fall and did the photo session. Since I was the one who ordered the CD and had the receipt I only paid $25. But anyone in the group could have done a photo session and paid $50. All the photographers do is give you another photopass card with your session's photos on it and you add it to your group photopass account just as if these were photos taken in the park. No problem :thumbsup2 I plan on doing the same thing again this October (organizing a group to share the CD and do the photo session.)

Hey can you let me know when you are going to do the photo pass share for October - I am looking at going to MNSSHP and wanted to be in pics this year since I am not in any from last year. I think we are going Oct 16th

Thanks!

I'm not positive, but I believe you pay when you get there.

DH gave me a massage at the GF a few years ago and he just booked it while we were there for the next day. I paid afterwards. I'm sure you could probably book in advance, but I'm not sure how far out. Here's a link to some info about the spa here on the DIS. It has the phone # to call for appointments so you could call and find out the answers to your questions.

Hope this helps!

You pay for the session when you check in (for the session.) They will write up a slip that you take to the hotel souvenir shop right down the hallway and pay for it there. Then you bring the receipt back to the check-in podium and they will get things ready to start the shoot.:)

I just had a Grand Floridain portrait session. GREAT Photos! The photographer we had told me that Family portraits are also now available at Saratoga Springs, and will start at the Polynesian on May 11. There is also now a central phone number for portrait reservations: 407-934-4004. Beach Club, Animal Kingdom Lodge, and Wilderness Lodge will have a portrait desk later this year. The portrait session is free, if you buy your Photopass pictures on a CD for $125. What a deal.

I am not sure if these questions have been asked.

How many pictures do they take?
How long are the photo shoots?
What if you don't like your pictures?

I'm leaving on June 10th. How early should I pre-order my CD?

I can't wait til the 30 day mark (which is soon!) to get an appointment for our pictures. I don't know which resort to pick though :(

Would love to see photos from SSR shoot. Thank you for the help. What time can you get them done at SSR in July?
