ditto mickeywho? - I went back through Disney Destination emails and had a code as recently as August (for Sep-Dec 08) but nothing since...we also booked bounce back but probably the code is a better deal for mods.

On the Canadian disney site, sign-up, then make sure that you check that you will accept e-mails. Also seems to help to ask for a planning kit (DVD). After that, sit back and wait, took several years before we go the September code and now this one for 2009.

How do you get the PIN and what does it do for you?

That's the Million dollar question. Know one knows how or why Disney selects you for a code. The best you can do is order the DVD and get yourself on as many e-mail lists as you can. I did two surveys last year on our trip, one at Epcot and one at MGM Studios. I gave our secondary e-mail for those and that's where the pin was sent. For years I have been watching others get the code and it finally found it's way to us.


The pin gives you discounts for select times of the year. This time it is 40% off for the days shown above in another post.

I called WDW on Sunday and they said I could use my code for a deluxe and for my mom and dad's booking too since they are going with us. The CM told me the dates I wanted are available and my travel agent could call on Monday as the offer was good until March. Well, my agent called and they wouldn't switch us to a deluxe because they were sold out for our dates and they wouldn't give us the 40% off our already booked rooms because POR's rooms were all booked too. Which doesn't make sense because I don't need to book new rooms I just want the 40% off the rooms I already have reserved. My agent says I'm already getting a good deal thru CAA but in my eyes nothing could be as good as 40% off. I'm so bummed. I booked the first week in Feb because of the offers in the off season. We've already booked our flights so I can't change the time. I feel so let down by the "happiest place on Earth"!!

Why wouldn't you have changed it to add the discount when you had them on the phone yourself?? Are you not allowed to change your ressie when booked thru a TA?

Also..just because you have a room--doesn't mean you can have a discount applied to..not sure of the logistics..but it just doesn't always work out that way.

Your TA can change your reservation for you using the code, just let him/her know and they can do it easily as long as there is availability at the resort you want and during the times that the pin is available for.

We recieved our PIN now we have to make some decisions. With the room discount, can we add dining to that? Or is if you purchase room only? We are slated to go Christmas 09 and the room discount will apply to some of the days (woohoo). How would we proceed with base tickets and meals? Can I use the pin for one stay? We may try to get a shorter trip in August 2009 if we can use the pin twice. Can offers be combined as free dining and discount room?

I got the code as well, but won't be able to book until at least the new year. I wonder do I even have much of a chance of availability then? Also, this is room-only right, so that means I can't get the dining plan?

I called and had a pin with my name. 40% off! Oh my gosh. This is the third year for 40% offer I have received. Going over Christmas. Cause this offer included Christmas Day!!!!!! We have a split stay as we are doing a 7 day land and Sea package. We wanted a few extra days before and a few after!


Thank God for the Disboards!!!!!!

You need to call back. That person just didn't want to look or who wasn't familiar with this. I called the reservation number.

I called and got a CM who said that the "PIN" unlocked the codes for the discount and because I couldn't give him the PIN I couldn't have a discount

I had called because I just cleared out my spam filter and then heard about this new discount and didn't see an email in my regular inbox.

I'm going to call back today and hopefully get someone who will check for me.

I just called and was told that there weren't any pin codes attached to my name. She also checked under my husband's and kids names. She told me to keep watching my e-mail to see if an offer could still be sent to me. She said that there are more offers coming.

Just made reservations with what I thought to be a 20% off room only PIN code ( a code I would have missed if not looking because I read this thread Thanks Dissers!) There was a discrepency with the dates the CM had and what had come attached to the email. She put me on hold to check it out and came back with a 40% off code that was available to us! YAY! Now to get excited with all the planning!
