It works.
I guess I spoke too soon about it being quiet, you beat me by seconds.
Hope everyone is doing ok.
Went to beaver creek today to have a look as they have opened more runs.
Big mistake....
The is a difference between open....and having snow....
Because it is the 19th December the crowds are growing so I think they have opened anything that is ....reasonable.....
I had been doing mainly blue runs at Breckenridge and Vail and Keystone....and had not yet fallen.
First run at beaver creek and I fell over as there was a literal sheet of ice running down he run. When I finally got going again I took the only green around which was a catwalk. Which was literally ice, slush, with rocks showing through. if I wanted that I'd go skiing in Australia.
My mum who has fallen quite a few times on other runs due to a weak knee survived the mountain......then fell.......down the escalators... top to bottom....
Her knee is now completely stuffed and she's hurt her shoulder too.
We are both a bit upset about the damage to the lens on the helmet (it is an Italian model which has an integrated lens with the helmet) as we are yet to find a replacement And I fear it might be pricy...
But the thing is her head was protected in the fall by wearing it...so...that's what matters most
I've only hurt my left wrist and my arm a bit which a strapping will mend.
So....fun fun fun....![]()

Where is Waldo?
queenie82 - sounds like a good soak in the hot tub is needed tonight. I hope you both heal up soon.
Hot tubbing in falling snow is very nice.
