Tons of stuff. Don't really want to get into it.

At least this time, you're still employed whilst looking for work. I think the people interviewing form a different opinion if you're currently in a job cf if you're not currently in a job.

Just hang in there until you find something else.

I made the batter thinner on that one. DH wasn't feeling well when I was cooking it. In hindsight, it worked out well because the shrimp cooked really really quickly....only took like 2 minutes (if that) on one side and a minute on the other. I would have made the batter a little thicker; but not much more.

Why is your recipe in metric and english?

I agree. Also when you are asked why you want a new job. The safe answer is the hours were too few and irregular. You need something consistent.

A new posistion may not have more hours to offer. They may want you flexible too. So angle the answer to agree with them.

English is the language that seems to be universally used outside of the US....particularly in the business world. ;)

And most modern countries have ditched the imperial measurement system quite a few years ago and moved to metric. :rolleyes1

So you are in a want to be modern country?

You use 1 kg of chicken! Yikes! That's 2.2 pounds! I would use about a 1/4 kg when I cook for Fran and I. According to your 250-300g per person, that works out to be about 1/2 a pound of chicken per person!

We normally portion 130-140g per person, at least that's what our government tells us is the correct portion! :rotfl2:

I normally work off 100 - 120g per person. That's what our government and health officials tell us is the correct portion as well.

But I weighed the tenderloins before I cooked it and was surprised to see it hit the 1 kg mark.

I cut each tenderloin into 3 and there was about 8 tenderloins there. After we finished eating, there was only 6 pieces left! I know I only put about 5 or 6 pieces on my plate before scooping the sauce over. And might have popped another 1 or 2 pieces afterwards. So....I have NO idea where all that chicken went to!

Well..umm..well english please. How much is that amount in our metrics? Hang in there Dana.

That's how it goes with Rib Eye Steaks around here. Often times the steak weighs over a pound, now that's with the bone in. I usually make one for the two of us and cut half the meat off for Fran. I like to knaw on the bone. Somehow it all ends up disappearing even though it's way more than we're "supposed" to eat! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I actually thought that there was only about 300g of chicken tenderloins in the 'lot'. I usually have some frozen and normally ask the chicken shop to bag it up in quantities of about 300 - 350 g. When I thawed it out, I popped it on the scale just so that I could work out specific quantities for DS's homework. Imagine my surprise when it came back at 1 kg. I must have just ordered the 1 kg from the shop and not asked them to split it out. :sad2:

Its tuesday. So that means that I'm having baked potatoes for dinner! I'm hungry too!

Just going to post on my 2007 TR! Been working on my Napa Valley update. Should be up shortly.

OK so I'm not crazy! I didn't think I saw that update.

Arline never called me back today. She is extremely technologically challenged and just signing up for the DIS was a problem for her. Obviously! I've done the first post on the PTR but by now it's back on the third page, so she'll never find it.

I have another update ready to go to bring it to the front page, but until she gets signed up and calls me that she's in, I don't want to post it. Then I'll have to explain to her how to subscribe to threads when she replies. Once that's under control I'll post the link so everyone can come join the party! :thumbsup2

Sounds like a plan!
