our guide said that the developer points have to be used by Oct 3, 2009 no matter when you buy in. Not sure why..so it's not the 12 month rule like it was at AKV. Also, if you do the 100 point add on, you have to use your developer points at SSR.

Wasn't October 3rd or 4th when BLT first went on sale? Maybe its 12-months from that date that they are basing the DP time limit on.

Since we're new to DVC and it's just the two of us, 160 points. We hope that will get us 3 weeks every 2 years in a studio (not MK view) at BLT.

I just spoke to my guide He said they're planning to raise the min points buy in at BLT, so this offer will be limited time to let anyone that was on the fence get in before they do that.

We're STILL WAITING to hear if we passed ROFR (Disney's had it since 10/10!). We were planning to start with a 25 point add-on at first.

According to another thread, on Jan. 15th the minimum add on goes to 100 pts.

Yes, DVC is offering the matching developer points plus the $5 off per point for purchases of 100 points or more.

You can use the developer points at SSR, DLR or World Passport.

I used mine today to book a few more nights at the Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland.

I have a total of 1,000 points, of which 300 are BLT.

I live in UK and have recently received the paperwork for a 100 point add on at BLT. I sent off the paperwork already to the lenders (GE as we are in UK) and ON THE DAY I was about to schedule a pick of the papers by FedEx, I learn about this developers points deal. I have held onto the papers and e-mailed my guide and asked whether I will automatically receive the matching points or whether I need to exercise my right to cancel in order to benefit from them. Technically, I have not bought yet, but all the papers are signed and dated the 4th November although not yet retured (although the finance papers have been returned).
I have not yet received a response from my guide (have been waiting 3 days now!!)
What do you guys think I should do?
Any advice would be appreciated!!!

I'm sort of in the same situation. I have the contract and am ready to send it back, but I want to make sure I get those DP's. I know how you feel... just buying BLT and then have them offer DP's. If I were you, I'd call your guide again. We just received a letter saying we should send our papers back within 7 days as to not delay closing. But I'm willing to risk the delay. DP's would really be nice especially if you can't use those BLT points until fall of '09. I'm not really sure what happens if I don't send the papers back "on time", because I technically did not sign a contract. Would they still give me my deposit back?

I hope you hear from your guide and that they give you the DP's. It stinks to just miss out on a new incentive. Please give us an update when you get a chance .

Minnie Moo - We closed on AKV July 21st, 2008 but didn't get our actual deed until last month. It had been recorded with the orange county comptroller in July but for whatever reason it took until about 3 weeks ago for us to get the actual deed.

We sent our paperwork off and then later learned of the dev. points. I called our guide and left a message as to whether or not I would be able to get these. I called him again but this time hit zero and spoke to the assurance team. I explained that I just sent my paperwork off and could I cancel and then re-sign to get the points. They told me that they will just add them to me and no need to cancel. I cant wait to use them.....

We signed our BLT paperwork 3 weeks ago. I read about the promo, called my guide yesterday, and made reservations at GCalifornian at DL today!
Doesn't hurt to ask. Worked for me.
