I'd like to hear from all the experts about what time would be the best time in your opinion to schedule a PS for this character meal on a nonearly entry day the third week of November. I'm have a PS for 8:10 a.m. - but now I'm having second thoughts. So, for those there early was the food fresh? Was the character interaction good? Did you like being in the parks early? Or should I change our time for near the end of breakfast? Thanks for your help!!!

We did that breakfast and loved it! We had went on early entry day and had first seating and the food was great (Mickey waffles were nice and crisp, not soggy). Had ALOT of interaction with the characters - they made it to our section twice! Had the best waiter too - Tom from NY. He was great at all the magic tricks. We are going down next Dec and will do this again. Also, right after breakfast, do Kilamingaro. The animals are usually up and active before the mid day sun hits.

We were faced with a similar situation. At first I booked an early breakfast time (before park opening). My thoughts were it would be nice to have breakfast and then hit some rides when the park opened. But I am paranoid about getting to the park early enough and was starting stress out about it so I changed our breakfast seating time to 10:00. I figure this way, we'll get a couple of the biggie attractions done and then have a nice breakfast with plenty of time after for the other attractions. We'll see if this strategy proves to work for us or if we should do early breakfasts in the future. Have a great trip!

We had a 10:30 PS here and *loved* it! The food was plentiful and still very fresh. The best part was that is was nice and quiet, as breakfast was winding down, and we had got tons of character interaction.

Also, we're not early morning eaters, so I knew this time would work best for us.

We have had a late meal 2X. The first the food was a bit "left over" and they wouldn't replinish items that ran out.
The second time (this may) the food was still very fresh and they kept everything filled up. DH was also able to get fried eggs at the omlete station. BTW the made to order omletes were great.

We did the early seating and it seemed like a lot of fun. We were set for food for the rest of the day. A light snack took care of us later. The food and interaction was great and seemed pretty nice at that time of the morning.

TTFN3 I would definetly KEEP your early p.s.
In my mind, the main reason to eat a character meal in a theme park is to get inside that park earlier than its opening time.
We had an 8:10 p.s.....enabling us to eat all we wanted (yes...nice and fresh!)...and then get a bit of a jump start on the crowds that pour in starting at 9.
One bit of advice....Kilimanjaro Safaris is by far the busiest and most sought-after attraction in the park....and it is best to do it early. (Animals are most active in morning...some "hide" during afternoon.)
But, safaris is on the exact opposite side of park from Donald's Breakfastsaurus. (Think of the park as a clock....restaurant is at 5 o'clock....safaris is at 10 o'clock.)
As soon as everyone's done with their food, get them out and prepare them for a very brisk walk to safaris. I agree...rushing is stressful....but in this case, you'll be glad you did!
(Enjoy the meal by the way....our kids loved the food...and character interaction was very good. Our camera broke just as I was snapping a picture with my kids and Donald.....so 5 minutes later, the host brought over a brand new camera AND Donald!)

A vote for 10.30 & late breakfast.

We had a PS for then & it meant that the park was still quiet when we got there &we did safari as a walk on , twice.

We had brilliant interaction & the food was still fresh & they still brought out new.

Eating late meant we didn't hav e to stop for lunch - just drink breaks.

We did a 8:10 Ps on a non-early enty day this past January and LOVED it. It was in fasc our favorite character meal ever. We were at the park by 7:45 (took a character breakfast bus from ASMo) and enjoyed chatting with CM's untill about 8:00 when we were called for breakfast. We got to stroll though a empty park following a CM to the resturant. We found the food hot and very good selection. Our waitress was awsome and the characters were too. We finished up right at nine and took our time enjoying dinoland with no one else in sight! We were the first on dinosaur. We caught the safari several hours latter with no crowds but this was off season. We love this resturant and enjoyed this time of day.

We did our PS for the latest possible time and were somewhat disappointed. The character interaction was great, we had the same feeling as sha_lyn, the food was not fresh and the fruit was not replenished at all. We went to Crystal Palace in March before park opening and I really liked getting a head start in the park and the food was very fresh!!
