I have read so many bad reviews of this character bfast we don't know if we should try it. Is it worth going to if you have the earliest PS?

Thanks

I was one of those who had a bad experience there(with the earliest PS), but I still feel everyone should try what they think they might like. If it interests you, give it a shot. Ive seen plenty of great reviews on it too. :)

Thank Camcolt - did you call in right at 90 days to get an early PS - I'm still not sure about it but I may go ahead and make the PS then cancel if we change our minds.

I've read mixed reviews as well but we are still going to give it a try. DS will turn 7 while we are at WDW and he is VERY excited about this character breakfast. Plus, we are staying at AK so it will be convenient.

It is a must do for us. Both trips we've gone toward the end of ther seatings and had great food, service and character interaction. Only complaint is that on the first trip they ran out of one of the hot fruit toppings (apple most likely) and the one remaining was cherry. I don't like cherries so I really wanted the other topping but had syrup or honey instead.

I probably did call right at 90 days since I usually call asap for everything. ;)

we went last year...first seating of the day....an EASY highlight of the trip...it was alot of fun and I thought the food was very good

if you get the seating an hour before the park opens, you get to walk thru the park with no crowds adn get great pictures of the tree....plus when the rope drops at opening, you are already halfway to the safari ;)

I had also heard the negative reviews, but I wanted DD to see Mickey and did not want to go back to Chef Mickey's. I made my PS at 90 days out, because we were a large party (6+1) and I wanted to ensure to get a decent time.

I loved the food, was much better than some of the other character meals we've been to. The characters came by at least twice. DD was petrified, so the characters waved and said HI from a distance.

This is a favorite of ours, a must-do on every family trip. We've been four times so far, and loved it every time. I think we've gotten the earliest seating 3 of the 4 times we've been.

Service has varied a little from trip to trip, but we've never had a bad server, and we've had a couple of great ones. The character interaction has always been very good for us. We've never had to wait to be seated either. When we've had the earliest seating, we just checked in with the CM at the entrance and were led back to the restaurant with a group of other diners. The one time we had a later seating (I think it was 9:10) we were seated within minutes of checking in.

The food has always been good, just your typical breakfast buffet fare, and everything was clean and well-stocked.

I have two sons who really loved the theming here when they were younger. Even now that they're older, they still love going to Donald's. Younger DS is a huge Donald fan, and this is the one place you're sure to find him.

We had a great time here. You can't always go by the reviews. We have loved restaurants with horrible reviews and hated restaurants with great reviews. We try to hit different places everytime, but have a few favorites that we repeat. Breakfastosaurus is one we would repeat.

We just did this on Valentine's Day, just me and my DBF and we BOTH enjoyed it, we had a 9:30 PS and were seated within 5 minutes, we went in and ate, the food was pretty good and then the characters came in and went table by table which I thought was organized and they had someone along with them to take our picture together with the characters, I would recommend this and would do it again.

I've done it twice and loved it both times. The food is your average breakfast buffet, tasty enough, but nothing spectacular. For me its just the chance to hang out with Donald! :)

What is the first seating time? We want to do the first seating time too. Is the problem with first seating you've experienced the food/service or getting to the restaraunt since the park isn't open yet?

We had a great experience!

We originally had a PS for 10:30 because we wanted to do Safari and Dinosaur first. Well, it was POURING rain. We arrived about 9:00 and I decided to see if they could take us early because we were all miserable. They were terrific, seated us immediately, food was good, characters were fun, waitstaff was great. No complaints, we would go back again!

I absolutely DO NOT recommend AK in the pouring rain! :umbrella:

We went to this 2 years ago and thought it was wonderful. We went to the last seating 10:30 I think and it was very efficent and the food was GREAT!!. There were 2 tables of families with a large number of children who kept letting the children run up to the charecters and the CMs were great at getting them back to their assigned sets so everyone got a chance to be visited. we're going again this year and we all want to do this again!

We had one of the earliest PS last fall, and we thought it was fine. We really liked the food, DH actually asked to go back this fall on our trip, and the character interaction was ok, not the greatest, but we saw all the characters, and saw Mickey and Donald at the same time. The food was good, fresh, and hot while we were there.

If the park opens at 8am on an EMH morning, would the first seating still be a hour before - ie 7am - this is a good option to us from the UK as we're always wide awake very early on our first day - our body clocks think it's 12 noon!

We enjoyed it on our trip last July. We also had the first seating and it was great being in the park by ourselves. I could see how people would feel rushed, because our waiter was running at 100 mph, but still gave us wonderful service (I don't say that about many servers).

I'm looking forward to eating there again this summer.
