Can someone please explain the character breakfast with Minnie to me?

I know that it is inside the park (DL, right?) somewhere but I don't know where. Also when is it? Do you go into the park when it opens and then go to the restraunt? Ride lines are so much shorter in the morning that I hate to miss that prime time.

We have done Ariel's Grotto in DCA before and I loved it, but my DD9 is growing out of the princesses a little and my two younger are boys.

It's inside DL at the Plaza, you make a PS with Disney dining and the seating are every 15 minutes and they usually start at opening or during a MM.
So even if you don't have a MM that day, they will let you go eat :) they started a line by the kodak shop before the rope drop last time we got in early, then a CM came and got us :)
IMO getting there early is better; you can get an inside seat where all the action is.

We went during the peak spring break time & got the last seating at 9:30am (to get the full 90 minutes) & saw 14 characters!!!! We found this to be a great time because we saw characters that had been there (prior to leaving for break or the day) & also got the new characters coming in to finish up the breakfast...... so if you want to go do rides early & then go in for a little later time, you'd be fine. Just remember that at the character meals you can spend up to 90 minutes, so don't book your meal too late....make sure you get your full allotment of time.

We like to go around 10 or 10:30 am. We have a light breakfast (bagel, fruit, yogurt, etc), then play for a couple of hours. By then we are ready for a nice meal and a break.

I walked in with no reservation. They did a photopass thingy but you have to buy the package for $30+ so skipped it.

I will get to my suffering later as I am gluten free.

They have lots of fresh fruit like grapes, watermelon, oranges and grapefruit. There is cold cereal, pastries type stuff, eggs, and other stuff that I missed out on, YEAH, HAPPY DANCING. Iced tea and drinks abound, it is a sumptious feast.

I saw Hook and he agrees with me that they should replace Pixie Hollow with lagoon and pirate ship that sells tuna sandwiches. The Fairy godmother treated me so special and was a charming lady. I missed Eeyore but got hugged by Pooh. I ran into my friend from the stite I got banned from for standing up to racist remarks. I missed her so much and she and I talked and I was so sad when I left her. Pooh hugged me and made the sadness go waway. There was Minnie who made a heart sign and was kind to me. Chip was there but I had fun with Dale. I said "Chip has the chocolate chip nose but Dale has the red nose where Clarice kissed him." The response was his love for her. It was very touching moment and they intereacted to me just like a kid or adult depending on how I reacted to the character. Rafiki was there also. Max who is Goofy's son was there. I saw the characters a lot.

MY SUFFERING, oh the agony of eating at this restaurant if you are like me. I am absolutely gluten free, almost no soy at all, no eggs except a tiny drop, and try to avoid caffeine, fizzy drinks, and especially chocolate and dairy.

Adam is the chef and he did not want me nap attacking so he planned the meal. I got me some strawberry topping, maple syrup, iced tea, peach slices, and fruit. I thought the peaches were not sweet and not that sryupy stuff. I got me 3 watermelon wedges, grapes, 2 strawberries and one orange wedge. The orange was good but not super sweet and the strawberries were good but ooooh the watermelon, yummy.

After a while came the SUFFERING.

Adam would have made me scrambled eggs or an omellette but I am no eggs so you know that the SUFFERING would have been worse.
Adam brought out a plate heaped with food. 4 mini Mickey shaped waffles, 4 strips of perfect bacon, 3 sausage, 3 or 4 slices of ham that he cooked up for me without the glaze, and hashed browns that he cooked for me.
I ate and ate and went back for water and ate and more water and ate and ate and ate. I had half a carton of popcorn about 3 pm and then some popcorn that I microwaved for mom at midnight. I could of gone without that last popcorn and did that to please mom. I am still full.

Suffering from gluttony and pigging out. The dairy and soy upset my tummy a bit then all was better and no major reactions or nap attacks until I was going home.

Adam was a sweetie and made me such a wonderful meal that for the price I would do it again. I loved the waffles especially and could have eaten 10 more but am watching my sugars a bit and all that syrup would have put me in slumberland, lol. I told Adam about how they had margarine and that I needed butter as butter is easier on my system. He brought out a little china type pot of melted butter.

I cannot believe how much character interaction there was and how much food I ate. AGONY, but it was so yummy and they did have the cereals and baked goods available as well as the meat lover dishes and lots of fresh fruit available. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Hi, Laura,

DD13 and I did this last fall. I was worried that she was too old to enjoy the character interaction, but surprisingly, she came out of her "too-cool-for-you" teenager attitude and had a ball!

The Plaza Inn is the restaurant at the top of Main Street on the right, as you turn right into Tomorrowland. It has lots of outside seating as well as inside. If you make early reservations, you will be led in by a CM from behind rope drop.

However, we like to make reservations later, like 10:30, on a Magic Morning day, and have it as brunch. That way we can eat something quick in the hotel room for breakfast just to tide us over. We get lots of stuff done during MM, and then can collect a FastPass or three before we head over to the Plaza for brunch. The buffet is so much food that you really don't need lunch after that. Just a snack in early afternoon to hold you till dinner. :thumbsup2

There's a review of our breakfast in my trip report, linked in my siggy below, on page 5.

Have a great time! :goodvibes

We just ate here on Thursday and we love love loved it. The CMs were so nice and the characters were wonderful. We had PS’s right at 10 when the park opened. But if you prefer you could make a later seating after you hit all the rides.

Thanks for the tips. I hadn't thought of MM and going later, that's a great idea.

I think my kids would like it, my DS4 is really into Belle right now and my DH was hoping to do something other than Ariels Grotto.

We have reservations later this month for breakfast with Minnie at 9am, the same time the park opens. Can we get into the park earlier to make our way down there? Or do we have to rush with the crowd when the park opens?

I just hope I have this much luck when we go June 14th.

There's a meeting point for Minnie's Breakfast outside of the gates. If I recall correctly it is to the far left of the gates. Go there and a cast member will sign you in. They'll get you to Plaza Inn in time for your PS.

it was a must do the last two times. this time were skipping it because we fell in love with storytellers. but it is defenitly worth it.
Every one here has covered it good luck an enjoy
