We are having lunch at CRT. But I keep reading all these posts about breakfast - are there as many princesses for lunch as for breakfast?

Also, our ADR is at 2:45 but the menu says lunch is until 3pm - will the princesses be there for the whole lunch or do we risk them being wisked away as we sit down?

TIA.

The princesses will be there they have a rotation so every table gets to see them during their time there. As far as breakfast goes we try to get ADR's just to eat the breakfast. Its the only place in WDW that you can eat stuffed french toast (its a cheese filled pastry that the deep fry) Mmmmmm....Good. Have fun on your trip. :thumbsup2

Thanks so much. As you can see, this is all new to me. Going at the end of August for our first time.

We had reservations for 2:45 for lunch. We had all the princesses come by our table. The lunch was not rushed and we feel we got just as much attention as one can expect. The benefit of lunch is you can tour the park in the morning, have a snack late morning, and stop for lunch. We really enjoyed that time even though I was hesitant at first.

We have enjoyed the breakfast more so than the lunch, although the lunch was good. You get more food at breakfast, and they'll bring you as many cream cheese stuffed french toast pieces as you can stuff in your gullet. I don't think they will bring you more of the lunch foods, although I could be wrong.

Don't worry about the princesses. They will make their way around once while you are there, even if you arrive at 2:45. They work the room fairly quickly.......

I personally would do the breakfast, but the characters will always be there if thats what you're worried about!

If you can go to the breakfast. Just as many princesses. The food was much better at breakfast. Lunch was not very good. :teeth:

We dined there for lunch and really enjoyed it. Had the first sitting, 12:00, and didn't feel rushed to make room for more guests. The food was quite good, my older DD and I had the salmon and my younger DD had the Major Domo thingie.

Enjoy your meal!

:beach:

We went to CRT for lunch in May and really enjoyed it - Cinderella stays downstairs for pictures (when you arrive), but Belle, Aurora, Snow White and the Fairy Godmother all came to our table.

We've never been for breakfast, but we though the lunch was really good - especially after eating at a few of their buffets.

We went to CRT lunch last August and we'll be there again this August for my birthday. We really enjoyed it. Somehow paying the price for my DS12 to have salmon just seemed easier to swallow for me than paying the price for a plateful of eggs my DD8 won't touch. I really enjoyed the major domo pie and the blueberry buckle dessert.

What IS the major domo pie? I've seen pictures on the food picture thread and it looks, well, hmmmmm :magnify:

It has a flaky crust, more phyllo like than pie crust, but more substantial than phyllo (hope that made sense). On the inside are mashed potatoes and tender shredded beef in a rich (cabernet?) sauce. On the top are jullienned veggies like carrots and zuchinni cooked tender crisp (maybe blanched?).

and we much prefer lunch. The character interaction, as well as the food, was much better. Here are the characters we had:

Breakfast '05 - Aurora, Mary Poppins, Wendy, Cinderella (Fairy Godmother in lobby)

Lunch '06 - Aurora, Mary Poppins, Belle, Snow White (Cinderella in lobby)

All you had to say whas phyllo dough and I'm sold. Looks like I know what I'll be ordering! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the replies. We're going in August, so changing to breakfast is out. Plus we only have 3 days, so I'd like to get in as many rides in the am as we can.

As long as the princesses will be there, I am not so concerned about the food - I just want us to have the experience and dd(6) and ds(2) to meet the princesses and see the castle from the inside!

But I do think I'll get that major domo lunch, that looks good to me!
