We have decided to pre purchase our breakfast vouchers for our brunch at goofys Kitchen. With the increase for summer pricing this will save us a lot. However- all the sites that sell these sell the vouchers only list the following-Character breakfast, Goofys Dinner, or ariels/lunch dinner. The Character breakfast description lists the plaza inn but not the other locations. has anyone purchased these? Are they good at Goofy's too? Is there an additional charge at the restaurant? It says tax and gratuity are included, i just want to make sure i can use them at goofys for brunch. thanks!

I have never used them, but find this an interesting question as well. Thank you for asking

The Character breakfast vouchers can be used at ANY of the character breakfasts (Goofy's included). I got them free from costco with our package and am deciding between Goofy and Minnie. I want to try Storytellers too, but would order off the menu, so the vouchers would cost more than the actual meal prices.

Thanks! That is a really great deal for goofy's since goofys raises their prices so much more than the other character breakfasts in the summer. thanks again!

ITA! I've found the best prices for vouchers on GAT.com

To answer one piece of it: yes, the voucher was all inclusive, we paid nothing more to eat at Goofy's Kitchen.

Do you happen to know off hand through what dates the prices are raised during the summer months? We are going at the end of September & are going to go to Goofy's for breakfast again. We enjoyed it so much last time! :thumbsup2 I am wondering if it would be a good idea to order the vouchers now from GetAwayToday & not have to worry about that. :confused3 I just worked it out & as far as I can see, even with the exchange (I am from Canada) it works out to be a better deal than any of the other advertised prices that I can find.

When we did Goofy's we had vouchers from the Disney Travel Co package, we had NO problems using them at Goofy's Kitchen. Everything was paid as soon as we gave them the vouchers. :)

We are going in Aug. Where are the new Summer Prices for Character meals posted? Trying to figure out if a voucher would be a good deal for us too.

By the time you get to Goofy's in late September, the prices should have actually dropped back down to off-peak rates, unless they change the way they do things this year. The peak summer rates should be in effect all summer, probably starting right around Memorial Day or June at the latest, and then by mid to late September, the prices drop back down a few bucks for off-peak, and stay that way for a short while. Then they raise them again for the whole holiday season, so in late October/earlyNovember. And they raise the prices overall (both peak and off-peak) every couple of years or so, it seems. I would think that they should be mindful of rasing too much this year because people are in such tight financial situations, but it IS Disney, after all, and they do like their money! As long as Goofy's (and the other character meals) keep the food fresh and hot, and the characters coming one after another to the tables, I can justify spending that $$$. If the food starts lacking from what I am used to and the characters start ignoring us, then I will have a problem!

I was quoted regular season prices for the three character meals we are doing the first week of June so that is not considered high season yet. I am guessing summer prices do start very soon after. Certainly September would not considered high season if the first week of June isn't. :-)

Do you need to make reservations for Goofy's Kitchen, like you do at WDW?

This is our first time to LA, and I'm not sure if the ADR's work the same way.

It;s not mandatory that you make them for Goofy's (the only restaurant in DLR where it is required that you have a PS is Blue Bayou, according to what Disney Dining told me), but it is highly suggested, I would say. Towards the end of last year, the PS bookings for character meals had dropped considerably (again, told to me by Disney Dining), presumably due to the economy, so there were lots of tables available. And when we showed up at opening (which was 7:00 a.m. in December), it took a while for the other diners to trickle in, so we were one of only 5 groups or so in the restaurant at first, and then more people showed up through the morning. Unfortunately, it also took a bit for the characters to trickle in. We started off with Goofy and Baloo, who were basically bored after a bit because there was no one to visit other than same old five tables of people. Then, as the morning progressed, more characters showed up and so did the guests. I have not been to Goofy's yet this year (I will be there in July), so I don't know if the PS's have picked back up and more people are eating there again, or if it is still kind of slowing down.

So technically, you can just 'show up' without a PS and you may get lucky and be seated right away....or you could get there when it is super busy and be waiting for quite a while (which has happened to us in the past, too). Better to be safe than sorry and make a PS if you can.

I just called and the CM quoted me the below prices for Goofy's Kitchen in August. Is this correct? It seems low...is this before tax and tip? Forgot to ask that and he didn't mention...

Breakfast:
$29.99 adult
$15.99 kids

Maybe tax and tip is the issue, with 18% tip and 9.25% tax it brings it to:

$38.66 adult
$20.61 kids

I'm thinking my 15% P AP discount would be better or a wash compared to the Vouchers.

Is this late August or early August? If it is late August, they may drop it back to the off peak rates. And also, did they tell you that the gratuity is 18%? It seems as though someone else who just went there a couple of weeks ago was saying it is still 15%, which is what is was last year and in 2007. If it is 15% tip, then with the 9.25% tax included, it would be $37 and some change, which would be about a five dollar increase from the old off-peak rate of $32.21. I think the new off-peak rates are right around $37 for breakfast, so yes, it seems like they quoted you an off-peak rate Yes, a PAP discount of 15% is handy, indeed! Use that if you can.

I specifically told him we'd be there the 1st week of Aug. We had a discussion about peak vs off peak so I know he quoted me the peak rates. He said off peak was about $4 (adult) lower.
I didn't ask about tip, so you are right it could be 15%.

I just purchased them today on get away .com
adult....... 32.29
kids 18.17
So is this also considered brunch if we go around 11:00 am ? and can we do brunch on these tickets?

I made our PS for a brunch at GK for the first week of June - considered non-peak - and was quoted a price of $32.91A/$17.34C tax and gratuity included. The first CM I spoke with did NOT include tax and tip in the child's cost so I asked here and, ultimately, called Disney two more times. I started calling April 17 and the last one was around May 1.
