We are staying at POP and have ADRs for two early morning breakfasts. The first one is at AK so I'm assuming that we'll be fine just hoping a bus to AK (they run before the parks actually open correct?). However, breakfast #2 is at GF. DH and I have done this breakfast before and have always just taken a cab to save time. However, this time, we will have our (almost) 3 yr old DD with us. I started thinking this morning that I won't be able to utilize the cab since I won't have a car seat for her. That means we would have to take the bus to the MK and then hop the monorail to GF. My question is: Does the Monorail run that early? Our ressie is for 8am. Also, any good guesses about how long this process might take???

The resort monorail starts running at 7 am so you should be fine. :sunny:

How early to the busses start running from the resorts to the parks in December. I have similar breakfast ADR's and want to make sure I can get to them.

There are breakfast buses that run before the normal park buses start. The front desk can tell you what time the breakfast bus is each day. Early June we had a 7am Chef Mickey's. The bus picked up around 6:40am and dropped us off at the Contemporary. They can't always drop you off right at the resort though, they may take you to MK to grab the Monorail, but since we were the only ones on the bus, he just went right to the Contemporary.

The buses to the parks start running very early because of the early breakfast seatings. You'll have to take your resort bus to MK, then take the monorail (resort line) to GF. If you're out at the bus stop at POP around 6:45, you'll have plenty of time to get to MK and then over to GF. You might even get really lucky and the bus driver could drop you at GF rather than having you get off at MK.
I know this seems a bit early, but it's much better to be early rather then worry about being late for your seating. Have fun!!

Thanks for the advice! I'm not that worried about the 6:45am departure time since I have a 2 year old who's up at 5:30am normally!!!!

I'm surprised that there aren't more questions like this in the transportation forum. Or a sticky about this. Is there a better place to ask this sort of question? I am also thinking of making early ADRs for Ohana and I hope I can get from POR to the Poly in time.

There are plenty ofquestions like this on the Tranportation forum. A there is no place better to ask.

Yes, you will be fine. Here is a link to everything you need to know about breakfast transportation. It is old but still valid.

You shouldn't have a problem. I was staying at POP this past January and had an early ADR at Ohana's. As we got on the early MK bus, I told the driver where we were goinng and asked if the monorail would be running that early. He asked where everyone else was going then told me not to worry about it and after he dropped almost everyone else off at the MK he dropped me and my GD off at the Poly, then dropped off another family at the GF for 1900 Parke Faire. We were there by like 7:30am.
