BREAKFAST TIMES?

I understand at dinner everyone is given either a early or late seating time, however i was just wondering if you are given a time for breakfast as well or can you turn up at anytime? (yes, this is our first Disney cruise)

You turn up when you want in advertised times.

Look at this, it shows the breakfast times,



So you can you to
Cabanas- open long hours a buffet and when you want within advertised hours.
Or
Sit down served meal,mad advertised in one restaurant, again within the advertised hours, - more limited than buffet.
There are small outlets, - days do litres, goofy's galley, there is room service, continental, order by card night before, or in morning, concierge can get a hit breakfast and will gave food in the concierge lounge on all ships bar the wonder.

you only have scheduled breakfast times for:-
Character breakfast if booked.
And
Disembarkation morning. Normally circa 7 am and 8.15 am, a limited buffet is available.

It's open seating times for most days. However for debarkation morning on my Alaska trip.... there is early and late seating assignments.

You will be assigned a certain time to be at the main dining room. If you have early dining, you will have early b'fast.(I think it is 6:45am) If you have late dining, you will have the late b'fast. (I think it is 8am). (I might be wrong about the times....my memory fades. Someone will come along to correct me, but you get the idea)
***If you did not go to the main dining room the last night, you will go to the dining room you were supposed to go to.
Another option is to go to Cabanas for b'fast. It is still open buffet, but a more limited buffet. The times should be posted.
There is not room service the last morning. The room service ends at midnight the last night.
The folks in concierge have different rules. The concierge hosts will let them know about that.
Be sure to take everything with you when you go to b'fast. You should not go back to your room. You can usually debark the ship when you are finished w/ b'fast.

I hope this explains b'fast during the last morning.

Disembarking day breakfast times depend where you are abd on what ship. My quoted times above are correct for the Magic in Europe. As said they are all " around" those times, but vary cruise to cruise and destination.

I totally agree.

Your dining servers will let you know what time and which dining room for that last b'fast.
In my experience, the dining servers really push the dining rooms for b'fast that last day. They don't seem to like you going to Cabanas (our preference).

The Debarkation letter may not mention Cabanas being open (ours didn't on the June 5th Magic) but it was, 6:30 - 8:30 AM. If you choose to go to Cabanas, remember that you need to be out of your cabin no later than 8 AM. We always choose Cabanas for breakfast on the last morning because we can go eat and then return to the cabin to finish getting our things together. It's nice to not have to drag everything with us, too. We always have main dining, so we do let our stateroom host know that we won't be going to the dining room for breakfast so s/he isn't expecting us out at 6:45.

Your other option for debarkation breakfast, which we have made a regular routine now, is to go to Cabanas and get whatever breakfast items and beverages you desire, take them back to your room and enjoy breakfast while you and the family finish getting ready and packed. As long as you are out of the room by 8:15 a.m. (or whatever time they post for your cruise). It gives us more time to get ready and enjoy our room and then we can just leave our room with the luggage and head out.

Showing up late for debarkation breakfast in the MDR when you have main dining may not be a problem, as long as those assigned to the same table for late dining are not coming to breakfast there. If they are, they'll need your space (cleaned and re-set) at 8 am, so I can't imagine arriving near 7:30 for an unhurried breakfast and lingering because you have "nowhere to be any time soon." Only if your servers assured you the late seating diners were not coming would that be okay. I always do late dining. If I won't be attending the final breakfast, I advise my servers the night before, in case early diners decide to show up late.

That graphic was from the Magic. Breakfast times in the MDR on the current Fantasy eastern itinerary are 6:45am for main and 8am for second seating. And yes, they always request (hopefully to be heeded) "Please attend breakfast hours promptly."

Our table mates already said they weren't coming and I would have been more than happy to have shared our table with the late diners. Saying that I didn't feel rushed doesn't mean we weren't out in plenty of time for the table to be reset. But that I didn't feel like I had to bolt down my coffee and grab the toast to go. I'm sure if it was a problem my server wouldn't have offered a second cup of coffee since he'd already gotten a very nice tip. But thank you for implying that I was rude to both staff and other cruisers.

Sorry, I somehow missed that you were on the Magic. On the Fantasy, to arrive near 7:30 and linger after breakfast could cause problems. You may be willing to share your table, but if the late seating guests filled the table for their seating, that would not work. And I DID include in my post that if the server knew the 2nd seating guests were not coming, no problem! Rather than implying that YOU were rude in any way, I was specifying the circumstances under which such action might cause a problem, because I have seen it happen. From the info in your post (that did not include the ship or that the next guests were not coming) I just did not want others to be prompted to show up late and stay late without knowing if the 2nd seating guests would be arriving for their own breakfast. The servers will do everything possible to accommodate though. I'm sorry if I misunderstood, but saying that you arrived probably closer to 7:30 (with me mistakenly thinking Fantasy so that would have been nearly 45 minutes late), then enjoying an "unhurried breakfast" and lingering because you had nowhere to be any time soon, gave me the impression that it was for far longer than a 2nd cup of coffee and is something I do not feel should be recommended. DCL asks that you attend breakfast hours promptly, but IF the 2nd seating folks are confirmed to be skipping it, that's entirely different.
