We will be headed to Coronado Springs Resort in a couple of weeks and were wanting to place a Prime Pantry order to meet us there to hopefully save on breakfast items and those afternoon and late night snacks. I know they have a coffee maker in each room, but can we take a small microwave with us?
Also any ideas what make good breakfast/snack items to keep in the room?
Thank you

Oatmeal is the easiest breakfast. Before our trip, I pre-measured 1/2 cup rolled oats in snack size Ziplocks and added raisins, pecans, and chia seeds to the bags. When we wanted oatmeal, I just added 1 cup water and microwaved it in a bowl. We did bring a couple of 2.5cup Ziplock/Gladware plastic containers for this purpose as I wasn't sure how paper bowls would hold up. We don't like sugary oatmeal so that's why I did it the way we did -- but you could buy instant oatmeal packets if you want.

You can also order dry cereal and just buy a quart of milk at the CSR gift shop (Panchito's is what it used to be called, not sure if it still is) if your family likes to eat cereal for breakfast. We only eat cereal as a fun snack because it doesn't have enough protein to fill us up!

Or, you could go a different route and either buy yogurt at the resort (which is pretty pricy) or place a Garden Grocer/We Go Shop order and order perishables.

I don't see why you couldn't bring your own microwave. I do think CSR has some microwaves available to reserve but I'm not positive.

I do like the idea of pre-making things up, especially high fiber and protein for breakfast.
thanks

No to bringing your own microwave. However, they have microwaves in the food court that you can use. Deluxe resorts have a limited number of microwaves available on request. I'm not sure if any of the moderates or values do.

For quick breakfasts try instant oatmeal and hot chocolate (using hot water from the coffee maker), cold cereal, non-toasted bagels with cream cheese and jelly, apples with peanut butter.

And why would you pack a small microwave but ship non-perishable groceries? Why not just pack the groceries and leave the cooking appliances at home? Are you aware that CSR is a convention resort and you will be charges a package delivery fee by the resort if you ship items to yourself?

LOVE CSR, but be aware that its a huge resort. Unless you are in a preferred room, going to the main building to use a microwave is just not going to work well. I would think outside the box to get a breakfast with some protein. Peanut butter is a great choice if there is no allergy (we do have one in our family ) and pair it with individual packs of jelly (buy at Sams). Put on whole grain bread of your choice. Cheese Cubes or cubes of cold ham or boiled eggs can be kept in the refrigerator and dried nuts and fruits are great! Protein bars with fruit and milk is very easy. We find that a quick room breakfast and a early lunch work pretty well for us.

We've used hot water from the in-room coffee maker to make instant oatmeal and it worked well. On the days we have a lighter breakfast in the room, we just plan for an early lunch. Eating early helps to beat the lunchtime crowds at the restaurants, too.

I wanted to add what pp said about CSR being a convention resort. We stayed at Yacht Club and had no idea about this. Our prime pantry boxes were shipped when ready rather than all together so we were charged for EACH box that we got! I think there is an option to check on Amazon, but we had no idea at the time. Lesson learned there.

we were strongly considering doing a Prime Pantry, but got to thinking, since we are driving, to just stop at the Walmart close by and pick everything up there before going to the resort. We plan to be there early in the morning anyways. Making a shopping list as not to waste time.
\thanks everyone for your replies!
